Treecko. The most badass grass-type starter. Up until Gen V, the Treecko family were the only bipedal grass-type Pokémon (and now even Serperior doesn't have legs). Turtwig? It's just turtle Bulbasaur.

Torterra has a freaking ecosystem of its own on the back of it's shell, all arguments are invalid. And Sceptile was the best starter, until Ninetales with drought came into the picture. Damned that Chlorophyll.

Pfft. A turtle with a bonsai tree and a garden on it's shell, big deal.

Let's switch the topic. Are you guys annoyed that we've had starters with the fire/fighting type combination for 3 generations in a row?

Yes, the only one of them that I liked was Infernape though.

I couldn't care less. Grass starters for life! Except Snivy that one was terrible.

I think at this point it's basically an inside joke with game freak. They're all pretty different in their uses, Blaziken is an all around pokemon with a great moveset, and is now broken thanks to speedbost, Infernape is a glass cannon, and Emboar is more defensively minded, but still, I think it's just gamefreak trolling us.

It's the best combination. May get water out, they're too common.

Fire needs to be in yes or yes. Maybe fire-ice-earth? Dunno. Electricity isn't weak against fire, so it would be hard to put into.

Oh no you didn't! Don't you dare break the traditional Grass-Fire-Water starter types!

The whole non-fire/grass/water starter idea has been around as long as Gold and Silver. It's not happening.

Crossed Swords (War2)

Fighting-Psychic-Dark could work... But the traditional Fire-Water-Grass should remain.

We can't have psychic v.s. dark because Dark-type Pokémon are immune to psychic attacks. The golden rule is that every type must either be super-effective, and deal twice the damage, or not very effective, and deal half the damage, to the other 2 types.

Just give everyone an Eevee to begin with like in conquest, and all issues are solved!

I am annoyed that neither this thread nor the other one spell Pokémon right.

The only possible starter triangles (i.e. three types that are weak to one another in a rock-paper-scissors fashion and the same with resistances in reverse) other than the traditional Fire/Water/Grass are Rock/Fighting/Flying, Fire/Rock/Steel and Grass/Poison/Ground.

I'd like a pokemon game that was from the PoV of a pokemon, where you go around and terrorize the trainers for using your kind for pet battles and such.

Open world sanbox style game. Choose to be a hero or a villain! Eat a car! Marry Nurse Joy!

Also, DING!

That reminds me of the Pokemon labyrinth games, those were cool and the ending made me cry

Have any of you seen the trailer for Pokémon Black and White 2? I swear, if the animé was like this, I'd be shedding manly tears and watching it every day. Stupid Ash Ketchum needs to die already.

Wanna know how to make the anime better?

Get rid of Ash. No, seriously. He's been 10 for what, 12 years now? Give the kid his master badge and let him go. That would refresh the show, not getting rid of Brock, the best part it ever had!
But of course, they would never get rid of the creator's self-insertion.
