Default You may have beaten me this time but I'll be back!

When Yogg dies he says this:

Quote:
Your fate is sealed. The end of days is finally upon you, and ALL who inhabit this miserable little seedling! Uulwi ifis halahs gag erh'ongg w'ssg...
When he dies he seemed a little too happy about it and he dosent teleport or vanish or something.

It seems that we have only killed a avatar and that he's still out there not to mention covering all of Northrend!

So is he dead or is only a part of him dead. And that we will face his true form in the bottom of Icecrown or 3.2 assumeing a raid is out for that patch?

If Yoggy and C'Thun are truly dead, and the one in Darkshore is truly dead, that leaves only Two Old Gods left. Now if the Titans didn't want to kill them all for fear of what would happen, is it a good thing for us to do it?

Thing:

Do we really know the titans didn't kill them out of fear?

We got that info from Ulduar. Ulduar is controlled by Yogg. It could have been a movement by him to avoid being killed or something like that.

But... Blizzard doesn't make plots likes that -_-.

Ulduar was merely a setback!

But seriously, I doubt we'll get this on again, not to mention so soon. And I doubt those computers were lying, those were not under his control after all.

And the last part of his speech seems now or completely random or coded in some undecipherable language, since it changes from encounter to encounter, isn't it?

I did expect some kind of twist linking to the Saronite and the Scourge which have been alluded to throughout levelling up, but in the end Yogg just said
"GJGDLGHLDLFGL ;FDGK;DFKGFDL;GDF!!!" in Old God speek, and died.

Not that I'm disappointed, although I did want to see who the prisoner was.

The Hard Modes haven't been downed yet. They could provide further insight (not likely, but possible).

I think Algalon absolutely will have some new information to offer up, actually.

Yeah, I don't think he's coming back either (sadly), but it did certainly sound more like Yogg-Saron was saying "Haha, you're really fucked now! " than "oh gawd im dyin "

To be honest I doubt he's dead, since the Titan's seemed too scared to kill more than one or two (presumably realising something bad would happen) and the fact that it makes the Old God's not seem that big a threat if we can kill them that easily (didn't take combined armies, just 25 mercenary heroes and 4 Watchers).

How deeply tied to Azeroth are the Old Gods? I mean they were on Azeroth before the Titans arrived, and they are very powerful, so could it be that if they all die, it could damage Azeroth?

As far as Tribunal of Ages is concerned, they are parasatically tied to the planet, and removing the parasite would result in death of the host.

So killing Yogg'Saron will have some serious ramifications?

It seems nothing really happen.
There's no special event or conversation after the death of Yogg-Saron though. Makes me a little disappointed.
I thought at least there will be some head-turn-in quest Just llike C'Thun's eye, Nefarian's head, Malygos' magic heart, etc.

There remains the fact that the roots of Vordrassil breached the realm of Yogg-Saron. Somehow, despite his being apparently trapped in Ulduar, it would seem his influence and "presence" remain potent outside his prison and far beyond the walls of Ulduar itself.

What if by defeating him, players are basically chopping off the piece of him that was "nailed down" in Ulduar and was keeping him from actively directing the rest of his body beneath Northrend? Being "killed" in Ulduar could be one more way of accomplishing what he sought. Instead of being set free, he may have accomplished his gals by eliminating the portion of his self that was anchored to Ulduar and prevented from directing the rest of his power.

It could make a strange sort of sense. If the Old Gods were so intrinsically tied to the planet, then how could the Titans have physically gathered up Yogg-Saron and contained him in Ulduar at all? If such a thing could have been done, then why not extraction? What if they simply grabbed the "focus" of his will (a.k.a., Yogg-Saron's brain) and locked it away while having to leave the rest of him in place beneath the planet's surface, left dormant with its brain cut off?

In short, what if Yogg-Saron was metaphorically caught in a bear trap (Ulduar) and we just chopped off the hand that was trapped inside, setting free the rest of his body that was tethered to it?

Or iss that already ruled out? I barely pay attention anymore...

Nah, I think Ulduar was there long before their defeat. I suppose they built the prison later, inside Ulduar.

That's great.

After all, we know from WotA Trilogy that they can create stuff. Yogg-Saron's body could just be a creation of his brain.

Yeah, to me the Yogg-Saron encounter is very unsatifactory. The reason why I say that is because that is the guy who supposedly corrupted everything from Icecrown (Saronite Miners) to the Howling Fjord (that one cliff thingy where you hear whispers). Basically all we saw was a couple of mouths breaching through the floor in Ulduar and not the immensly powerful entity that is Yogg Saron. Also when you are attack his brain, do you guys think that the size of that brain is its actual size, because if so, there has to be a whole lot of head left that we didn't see.

I love the idea of the hand in the beartrap that somebody mentioned earlier, I hope they continue the story.

Could someone explain how Yogg-Saron's Brain room works? I'm really stump about it ever since I seen the raid video see players goes though a portal in the brain room and jump out of his mouth.

All I know is this: the brain is hanging. It's a hanging brain.

I wonder if a similar fight will happen with Arthas. Some of the raiders get lost in his snaking girly hair and have to fight their way out.
