Well you're a day late in telling me that, considering I did yesterday.

By the way, the release date for the Horde Player's Guide has been changed to November 15th. And the Monster Guide has been announced to be released January 31, 2007:

And it will be full-color!

Updated slightly. Knaak confirmed the new book is going to be a sequel to Day of the Dragon (tempted to insert a "groan" here), and he is also in the planning stages of possibly doing a Burning Crusade related Manga series after Sunwell Trilogy.

I liked Day of the Dragon personally, though it does seem that Knaak is obsessed with dragons in Warcraft hehe. Nice to hear that a Diablo 3 is probably in the works hehe.

I haven't checked the other topics in this thread, however I will try to cover as far as memory serves. I keep contact with the people I interview every 3-4 months to ask them what's new.

Books to keep tabs with:

1. Wow: Rise of the Horde (Nov 2006)
2. Unnamed - Aaron Rosenberg will write a Warcraft book and a continuation to Queen of Blades -- straight from him.
3. Unnamed - Richard A. Knaak - Continuation to Day of the Dragon
4. Unnamed - Burning Crusade Manga

I haven't contacted Keith R.A. DeCandido for some time, but I will ask him if he got any Warcraft book in plans. I doubt Jeff Grubb would write a book, last I heard he was busy with Guild Wars, but you never know. That was few months ago. I would like to read a sequel to his Last Guardian either writing about the Kirin Tor before or after Warcraft 1, or about Aegwynn or Khadgar in Outland. Yea, I think that one would rock.

I liked it too, but it's like, enough freaking books about dragons. Of ALL the WarCraft material to write about, 7/10 WarCraft books (I am including Sunwell Trilogy in this) deal with Dragons.

I dunno if Arthas would translate to a book very well. His story and character are a little too... epic I think.

Epic? There are a lot more Epic characters then him. I barely consider him above average in fact.

Wow, amazing news, Day of the Dragon is still my favorite Warcraft book and a sequel is gonna be awesome and a new Warcraft manga is also kickass as long as they have the same artist(or one just as good).

What will DotD's sequel be about? The Characters' actions during the third war?

And the War of the Ancients, The Last Guardian, and the Rise of the Horde aren't epic?

Maybe it will be about the fact that Rhonin let the Old God´s evil essence out of the Demon Soul when he destroyed it.

Or something totally diferent.

I like Knaak and his writting, but the one thing I hated about his writing.

He had to keep things "fresh" by never reusing spells when it came to the mages. I can understand that Rhonin just using fire and iceballs all the time would be a bit boring, but you don't have to make a unique spell everytime they had to use one.

When Krasus extended his fingernails and launched them to impale a doomguard, I cringed...

Ok, that time he was probably out of ideas, there were alot of original kills in the trilogy, Rhonin´s spear spell was awesome for example.

Hey, it´s not his fault if Blizzard uses them even to explain why the toilet is broken.

I actually was saying it because that concept if part of my own story I wrote. It was a joke though, since he could sue me just for using the Demon Soul at all.

Oh...well, it´s not that hard coming up with that idea really, lol. If he goes with that idea would be great though.
