Although I thought he made a weak Superman, Brandon Routh seems to be phenomenal strong actor that I would like to see in this movie. He's a crazy WoW fan and he's expressed interest in being part of the movie.

Skaarsgard is too damn emo, even for Arthas. The Lich King's bitch needs to be as badass as possible and no offense (because Skarsgard's good in his own right) but Kulich just has that aura all sewn up.

And Rolandius, that's a terrible joke because Cage isn't even a good actor. He's got one role he can play and he does it over...and over...and over again. It's like watching time replay itself, except the man just gets creepier and less endearing with age.

Anyway... I think that Arthas is not one of the favorite characters of Metzen, and probably I think he is bored of him, so I do not think Arthas gonna be in the movie.

The movie will be related in the events between WoW and Wacraft 4/WoW2.
The characters of previous games are dying or become old, and the most of them are dungeon bosses. It´s time for new ideas, erase the past, and create new stories in the world of Warcraft.

The movie will be a good start point for the new game of Warcraft franchise, and a completely new Wacraft story.

That´s my opinion.

Really? If memory serves, the movie will be about the 4 year gap between the events of The Frozen Throne and WoW Vanilla.

Both are also too old. Skarsgard's five years older than Kulich, in fact, which is why I find people preferring him over Kulich in regards to age...highly amusing.

Horde Flag

Skarsgard i think would be a better Arthas not forgetting the majority of the film will probs be CGI although i do think Kulich would be a perfect Uther once he altered his hair to brown.

Alexander Skarsgård as Arthas would make the little very hidden and small patriotic Swede within me very proud.

That wowwiki article hurt my brain. I did chuckle in seeing that Angelina Jolie is suggested for nearly every female role, though.

At the time I last heard anything, Sam Raimi was very excited to be working on it, and the script was a forty page story. He was helping it get hammered together and he wanted it done right because he, as a player, doesn't want the movie to suck.

I think someone suggested Brandon Routh to play Varian at MMO champ and I agree with him I think he would make a good King Wrynn.

There are plenty of tall and fit guys out there who can grow their hair long and dye it blonde. It's limiting to cast somebody with appearances being a priority when it can be easily altered. I think what's important is to cast somebody who can pull off the prince/nobility quality. And despite his portrayal in WotLK, that quality should persist in the movie as an effort to stray away from the cartoon villain presence in the game.

Anyway, here are my picks.

Thrall - Brendon Routh
Saurfang - Vin Diesel
Garrosh - The Rock
Grom - Hugh Jackman

The characters will have be CGI to make up for the physique, done akin to the most recent Hulk movie for quality capture of facial expression.

So I'm guessing we just straight gave up on putting established and/or badass actors in and are subbing it for anyone who would be desperate enough to play the parts.

I still want Jeff Goldblum as Malfurion, not because he's a particularly wizened sage, but because Jeff Goldblum was born to play an elf and he has not done so in his career, and Malfurion would probably be the only male night elf appearing in the movie.

If memory serves (and they haven't changed their minds), the movie's taking place between WCIII and WoW, meaning Malfurion would still be in a coma. Fandral would definitely be around though.

Just like Steve Buscemi was born to play a goblin!
