True, but by labeling him "conservative", they were trying to obstruct and block people from knowing the truth through misinformation.

I think it's a good idea to point out all the problems that the religious right is causing in the world. There's no need to split hairs just because they're in a different part of the world.

Oh, yeah. Israel totally doesn't do anything for us or our economy... outside of all of those technological and scientific breakthroughs they make, and all of those large Silicon Valley-like corporations like Intel...

Also, if we cut off every country that spied on us, we might as well become a fanatical isolationist country by that point.
It's not inevitable. Jesus was opposed to it. All great religions are opposed to it. Jesus was literally a breaker of debts. To be saved by the pagan gods, it required sacrifice. An animal, some food, maybe a kid, maybe some adults. Jesus comes along, says "I'm going to sacrifice myself to save you all." This was one of the appeals of Christianity. Your debt was paid. Be a good person and you were offered a place in Heaven.

What breakthroughs? Most that work is done here, in Europe, and Russia. The free market would fix the hole Intel left. There is nothing Israel provides us that we can only get from them.

The Founders understood that the folly of humanity meant that change should be slow and difficult. Trump apparently dislikes this.

There was a time that the GOP stood for the Constitution. We'll see if there's anything left to that.

What net neutrality? Don't you know? Internet belongs to the companies, only they can save us from the evil government letting the internet NOT allow them to price-gouge and further monopolize!

Vote strategically. Treating political parties like sports teams is killing us.

I agree completely. Be intellectually honest and consistent.

And as for Trump's comments. I am not surprised. Trump is not a Constitutional Conservative, and I've been saying that since he started running. If the GOP voters wanted one of those, then Cruz would've been the only choice they had. But they didn't, and they didn't care if Trump was on the Left when it came to a lot of issues, they were just tired of politics as usual.

Despite what Conservatives, and other Republican voters wanted, Trump has no core political ideology. He goes where the wind blows him, much like FDR, and more often than not, based upon the people he surrounds himself with, he will blow Left when it suits him and then blow Right when it suits him.

If someone from the Left said what he said, the Republicans and Conservatives would be up in arms. It's similar to comments that Obama made about the Constitution and the howling was immense.

Trump says it and the Republicans just nod and say "It is true!"

Good thing only Republicans do that. A straight Democrat ticket just means you are smarter and less biased than everyone else.

Go find high school me.

It is really unlikely though as I get older and start paying more taxes. I will probably just want to upend the federal government and higher education even more.

It can happen. I used to be a libertarian. I think a lot of my political stances make more sense when you know that.

Did the harsh world turn you to the dark side? It's okay. We will melt that hardened heart.
