I remember that he tried to balance warriors once.

My take:

We are doing nothing but bitch about creative direction in World of Warcraft. Maybe rolling a few heads in the creative development department is the right thing to do here.

I don't really have a problem with this. It's a "big deal" kind of thing, but what Blizzard needs right now is new blood. They haven't been any good since WotLK wrapped up.

Pretty much.

I see this as nothing but a good thing. Especially with Pardo's recent comments with the gender issue and such. New blood is needed, and while Pardo is certainly talented and I'm sure full of passion, I don't think fans are connecting as much with him and his old guard.

Well problem is, who are they going to replace him with? They never replaced Ghostcrawler, and Kosak got a promotion.

Interesting. It will take a few patches to see what, if any, effect this has on WoW or other Blizzard games.

I have to wonder if more will follow. From his last statements, it sounded like he didn't have another job to go to, so I have to wonder if he was fired.

I have to agree that this is a good thing. Warcraft needs fresh blood, especially in CDev.

I'd imagine he was 'asked' to leave.

He didn't even have such a big influence on the latest WoW-expacks, right?

Probably. To do that in the middle of development, though...I wish we had more answers as to what's going on behind-the-scenes at Blizzard.

Wrath, Cata, and MoP, no. But, he returned as a designer for WoD.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure he wasn't fired. He got a better job and is leaving

If he had another job he wouldn't have mentioned not having another job.

Technically he said he couldn't say what his next job is yet, not that he doesn't have one lined up

This just makes me wonder what the hell's happened to Titan. Wasn't he on Titan for years before coming back to WoD?

He was the Lead for Titan. What happened with Titan followed by WoD's development issues probably played a part.
