Loot Bag The Goblin Marketplace: Personal Business and Classified's Thread

So you want to promote your band, book, movie, media program, or other endeavor...well this is the only place you're allowed to do it. Each person gets a single post in which to show off and update whatever they're doing and after that keep it to either pm's or your own personal websites (Just make a Wordpress if you don't want to start one). Anyone repeatedly advertising outside this sticky or extremely rare posts in the spam thread will be dealt with by the panel of moderators.

If posts are Warcraft related but you plan on making money from them, it belongs here as well.

Conversational comments here will be deleted so that people don't have to search through masses of posts to see what individuals are promoting. If you want to joke around about this kind of stuff there are several spam threads and pm's.

Horde Flag Thanks Cantus, You're the man.

Thank you great sir, One thousand apologies for my slight mishap over the last few days...I was being an odd ball hehe.

Thanks for hanging in there with me to the few who did.

Still will be doing it but I need to chill and see what happens with everything.
I just sort of saw it as a thread like, SoL The Movie thread, but I went a bit overboard with jpgs and concept art etc.

Ok to link to other video/img hosting sites from here, just not too much pictures and madness?(?)
It all sort of makes sense if you squint your eyes I think...

I shall return soon with great offerings....such as calm relaxed rough draft scripts, possible production pictures,

Alright to have my email posted?

I just like to know what I should be doing here i guess.
Sorry for the madness... But I'll be seeing you all again real soon. In your Nightmares!!

No no time for El Lobo tonight, I must rest to fight another day.

~Lob

Ok fine one Youtube channel lul.

My Podcast has been on indefinite hold due to shitloads of work and a nebulous legal hickup, but I'll update this post with more information. I can't tell you when I'm going to start recording again, but if anyone's interested in being a guesthost, you can always PM me. Also PM me if you have any lore questions that you want answered on air.

I have to say I'm a bit artistic, and I like music. I have alot of "joke-bands" with my friends, and here are some of them.

C6H5OH - There is one song at the moment called "Otrevlig", which means "unpleasant" in english. I play drums.
Gåsapåg - The band Gåsapåg is anti-culture from southern Sweden. The band plays punk, and get their influence from the sheep and cows around Scania. In the band I play drums and sing backup.
Nuclear Holocausto - National socialist black metal. I sing in this band.

... please give some feedback, even though the bands aren't serious.

Duellen (The Duel) - A short movie me and a few classmates made in school. It's nothing spectacular, but I still think it's worth to publicize.

Default The Blogs of Rebirth

I have two blogs. Here's the breakdown:

Behind the Txts... - this blog features posts inspired by carefully selected texts from Texts from Last Night. A drunken person at the local bar called it "hilarious."

http://behindthetexts.blogspot.com

Ashes in Autumn - a socio-politico-environmental allegorical novella that takes place in the Post Apocalypse. As said by, Inquisitor, the "prose resonates with the desolation of your characters." This one is dark, yet has an everburning hope with.

http://autumnash.blogspot.com

There are Facebook Fanpages for both. The links can be found on the blogs themselves. If you have any comments drop me an email/pm. My email is 11th.nomad.publishing@gmail.com

Digital file, 2 dolla. Or the paperback for 10 dolla. I'm thinking of putting another one together of my more recent stuff but this is pretty much everything that's decent from high school and college.

So, this is the business thread, right?

Well me and a friend of mine on 4chan's /m/ board by the name of VF-Kun are working on a indie game called SRW: Eternity. However we need programmers and are lacking programmers. People join our group and just leave sometimes.

If anyone has skill with any programming software please PM me if they are intrested. I will send them VF-Kun's email.

EDIT: Here is the email:

As an opera singer, I'm going to be putting the songs I sing on the internet for people to listen to and to hopefully get work.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jc-xoEi5fCk

Here is my first song, a one-man quintet using the song from the ending of Portal 2.

As a side note; if anyone of the Story Forum regulars see this, could someone be so kind as to put this in the Story Forum Community Lounge thread, please.

A+

I know it's not Opera but I grew up around a bunch of Barbershop Quartet type of guys. Im naturally a fan of good harmony. The fact that it's all you is pretty awesome too.

Thank you for the positive response, though, I've gotten some feedback and it seems a tad quiet. So, I don't see why I can't go back and do it over.

So, I just might... but in the meantime, I got a second song up. This time, a real opera song. I'm finally got it right this time, but this one will be another redo once I get back into the swing of singing everyday.

Not actually promoting something I do myself, but this guy really needs more traffic.

His name is Markus Eikenberry (His handle is MarkeeDragon), and he's an entrepreneur and gamer. He does a daily video on YouTube where he talks about, well, video games, but from the perspective of someone who makes money from them.

Oh, and to give you a reason aside from "He's interesting to watch," he also (as of now) gives out a redeemable code for a game or game service of some kind in most, if not all, of his latest videos.

(Further bait: Subscribe to his YouTube channel and have a chance to win a replica of Frostmourne. Yes, the big metal one. Not a dinky little toy.)

Crossed Swords Casting Azeroth Wars on YouTube!

Hello all ye gentle folk. I've just started a new channel on youtube and I want the weekly jewel on that crown to be an Azeroth Wars Special. I'll be playing my own games and mostly using them a bit part tutorials on the races in an effort to stir up wider interest in out beloved custom map.

Any and all videos that you would like to submit to me will receive acknowledgement and please be sure that they are full games. If you lose and it seems like a good game, just hang in there and become a pirate. Ride out the storm to the very end so that I can have the whole drama to play out before the viewers.

If you'd like to check out the videos I already have up you can find them on youtube under the user name "TheAzothan"

Huge shout out to Diplomunion.com for their support. I'm up to over 2500 views in under two weeks of posting.

You can find my games and direction for submitting feedback or replays on my latest videos.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQ_NtVtVztQ

Thank you all in advance.
Yours, Azothan.

Default BlizzCon ticket at face value

Danny (Blizzplanet) is selling a BlizzCon ticket at face value. A staff member (for which the ticket was purchased for) has gone MIA, and we'll like a fan to get access to the ticket. June 3 is the last day the tickets can be edited to include the full name. After the deadline, the ticket can still be given to someone else but Danny would have to meet with you at the lobby to show his Photo ID to give you a printed ticket under your name.

Contact me at medievaldragon @@@@@ blizzplanet.com if you are interested in the ticket.

PvP Symbol - Alliance

World of Warcraft Cinematic Quest Guide
Northrend Atlas

I first started playing World of Warcraft starting with the vanilla release back in 2005 - the "good old days".

When Wrath of the Lich King came out in late 2008, I was entering college. It had to be my last expansion and I'd have to say goodbye to Vikstone, my sole character from the beginning. My guild and I were pretty big on lore and writing fan-fiction. I wanted to create something that introduced the starter zones of Northrend and guided newcomers to the lore in a way they weren't used to - by taking screenshots of my character doing quests, completing objectives, and portraying the world through cinematic form.

I made the decision to make this "guide" a little greater in scope at the start of 2009. I would go through every quest on the Alliance side (in my first play-through) for each zone and take screenshots to capture my Night Elf Warrior's evolution to level 80. At the same time, I was able to take many screenshots of my friends from Trinity (now defunct) and various strangers on the Terokkar server who helped me through the party and elite quests.

Boss Fights and Guest Appearances

It took 22,000 screenshots from Borean Tundra to Icecrown. Difficult is an understatement. Knowing absolutely nothing about website design and how I was to present this content, I had to post-pone the project due to studies (med school). Every screenshot taken is 100% real, in-game, and unedited, with the exception of cropping.

On July 4th, 2014, I rebooted my website, www.gamesportsrealm.com, and went to work on building these pages. I made a promise to my guild and I didn't like leaving things undone. Over 1000 pages later, I am happy to say that I am ready to release the World of Warcraft Cinematic Quest Guide and Northrend Atlas, which depict major moments in Warcraft lore.

It's been nearly 7 years since this expansion came out but I did it to immortalize my friends and the WoW community as it once existed. The quests are designed in a way similar to WoWHead but with a twist. Anyone can now watch the entire story of WotLK play out from his or her browser by going through these quests, literally as they happened live back in 2008-2009.

My character, Vikstone, is simply the quintessential protagonist who sets out on a journey to exact the seemingly impossible task of revenge against a demi-God. And these are his trials and tribulations. I've had many inspirations - Samurai Jack, Mace Windu from the novel Shatterpoint, and Kratos from God of War, to name a few!

I wish for this project to become the ultimate media resource for people who missed this part of WoW's lore. It follows the journey in a chronological format and even contains quests that Blizzard has long since removed from the game.

If I could describe it in one sentence, it's like an online graphic novel. Hardly anyone plays the old quests and there are so many resources and in-game mods that absolve the need for a "guide." However, there's nothing quite like the lore in WotLK and it's the story that I wanted to capture - permanently. I've always seen this era as the golden age in World of Warcraft. Please check it out, might bring back some nostalgia.

Below are my personal favorite quests to jog your memories. Some of you may remember them:

73. A Righteous Sermon
72. The Truth Shall Set Us Free
72. Frostmourne Cavern
74. The Battle For The Undercity
74. Escape from Silverbrook
75. Dun-da-Dun-tah!
78. Reclamation
75G3. Wanted: Ragemanes Flipper
76. Betrayal
76. The Storm Kings Vengeance
77. Rampage
78. Know No Fear
78 Daily. Overstock
80. Going Bearback
80. The Drakkensryd
80. Krolmir, Hammer of Storms
80. The Reckoning
80. In Memoriam
80 Daily. Thrusting Hodirs Spear
80. The Master Explorer
80. The Brothers Bronzebeard
80. The Iron Colossus
78. The Purging Of Scourgeholme
80. Hope Within the Emerald Nightmare
80. Dahlias Tears
80 Daily. The Solution Solution
80G5. Before the Gate of Horror
80G5. The Guardians of Corprethar
80G5. Battle at Valhalas: Final Challenge
80. Army of the Damned
80. The Black Knight of Westfall?
80G3 Daily. Threat From Above
80. The Hunter and the Prince

There were a lot of quests in Wrath of the Lich King. If you want to see a particular quest, simply use the site's search bar on the left-hand side. Everything is still in its early stages and I took a break recently to prepare for exams. I have a couple of other projects on the horizon. There is a lot of work left to do on my site and I'm an amateur. It's a work in progress.

Please share it with all your friends from back in the day. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Hey guys, not sure if this is cool with the mods, let me know if not, but I am interested in selling my Bnet account. I am not so much as looking for buyers here since virtually everyone here has one but instead a way to find someone and sell it.

Note I can't use Ebay, it's a country restriction, so alternative ways to sell my Bnet acc would be most welcome.

Big thanks for any and all help, it would mean a lot to me.

Though if I go beyond local I wonder how to manage the payment. IIRC Pay Pall can rescind the payment if the person paying is not happy? Does that not lead to a lot of exploitation? Can I even know if I am being payed by Pay Pall?

Loot Bag Are you our Lorewalker Cho? A Historian and Script Consultant Needed

Looking for our Lorewalker Cho: A Historian and Script Consultant Needed for a Spec TV Show Project Based on Warcraft

Hello everyone,

We will break this post into a few sections to make it easier to digest:

Disclaimer

At this stage this project is still considered a ‘fan fiction’. Our plan is to pitch the idea to Blizzard directly at a later date once we have our package ready (more about that below). Since they are the owner of the IP, we obviously need their approval. If they refuse, the train stops. Nothing can be done about that and we are ok with it.
Something else regarding copyright rules…this comes directly from Blizzard , so it should give you an idea about where we stand with what we are doing.

Since we are going to them directly with this project (before we approach anybody else), we see no problem with our approach.

Reward

What is in it for you? A small payment and a screen credit as a ‘thank you’ for your efforts.

Company

Brainchild is a startup production company with a small team of artists and writers (seven in total). Company’s headquarters is located in Toronto, Canada.

Website

For the time being, our company’s footprint on the web ties directly to the announcement of this project. That is why if you look us up on the web you will not find anything. The company’s website is there, but outsiders cannot see it ‘yet’. Once we go ‘live’ with the project, then everything will be revealed to the public.

Project

It is a proposal for doing a TV show based on Warcraft. We are taking a whole ‘slice’ from the ‘cake’ (yes, we love it that much) that is the Warcraft lore and turning it into a TV show. Which slice? You will find out more about that during our interview. Please note that an NDA (Non-disclosure agreement) will be signed if you choose to work on this project.

Status

At this stage we have mapped out the whole show and currently working on a few more treatments with the writers on board. Our last stage will be writing the script for the pilot.

Package

The package we’re sending to Blizzard will include: An outline for the whole series (an overall map of the entire show), a detailed treatment for Season 1, treatments for each episode of of Season 1, a very detailed treatment for the pilot, a polished script of the pilot, complete storyboards, artwork (establishing the look of the world), budget, and a few other items.
One side note that might be helpful: As it might be hinted at above, we are not starting from scratch here. A lot of work has already been done (we have been working on it for sometime). However, more work needs to be completed.

Your Role

First and foremost, a historian - indeed, you are going to be our Lorewalker Cho. The challenge we have is because of how the show was crafted, we were forced to ‘condense’ and ‘shift things around’ to make the whole thing (show) possible. If you come on board, we know that you will get back to us with tonnes of notes on where we deviated from the canonized lore, some changes we’ve made,…etc…and we would like that - it is the point. Then, we will (together with you) take a very close look on those deviations or changes and decide if we should go a head with them or find other ways to stay as close as possible to what is canon while not losing the appealing aspect of turning it into a TV show in the first place. Which brings us to our second point…if you can write for TV (or film) that is a plus. Not a deal breaker if you don’t, however.

Integral

Passion for Warcraft, World of Warcraft, writing, and storytelling. If you play the game (we play all Blizzard games), then that would be also a major plus.

Next Steps

Once you express your interest by contacting us through this forum, we will contact you to conduct an interview. During that interview you will get to ask any kind of questions you want and we will explain the project in detail. Once that interview is completed, we will decide if you fit what we are looking for and if we see that you fit what we are looking for, we will contact you back and go from there.

Good luck.

Default The Sidecraft Podcast

Hey guys! You might know me from the forums a while back (wasn't here that long) I strongly feel like the more guerllia elements of Blizzard lore criticism need our voices heard! So I'm hoping to start a YouTube channel in the future (with a podcast starting now).

If you're interested, feel free to DM me or post here. Potential topics include:
  • "What's next" Our collective hopes and concerns for BfA
  • Morally grey characters in Warcraft and how they've been portrayed.
  • Structural problems with Blizzard storytelling.
  • literally anything you're interested in.

NOTE: Originally I semi-deleted this thread but since it has garnered interest I've decided to keep it up. If the mods want me to take this down I will gladly do it with no incident.

If you're interested, feel free to DM me or post here. Potential topics include:

  • Morally grey characters in Warcraft and how they've been portrayed.
  • Structural problems with Blizzard storytelling.
  • literally anything you're interested in.
Ooh. I like this concept!

Well, since you seem to be looking specifically for complaints, I will incorporate my last post from "The Kyalin Hot Take Thread" in the halls of Lordaeron here by reference.

I'll give you a more general-purpose conclusion here though: Blizzard is doing something with Teldrassil that asks for a lot of trust from Night Elf players - trust that they have in no way earned.

Edit: It changed while I was posting...... rage.....
