After watching the Germany-Italy game, I really feel ashamed for Spain. They got so many good players like Germany but Bosque simply refused to carry or put them on. If players like Gabi, Isco, Costa were there and Vasquez was starting, Spain would not have lost to Italy at least not like that. With Aduriz starting to make pressure against Italy, Vasquez to dribble at the right flank and Gabi to protect Sergio, it would have been much tougher for the Italians to break through. And they could bring on players like Cesc, Costa and Pedro when Italy were starting to get tired.

Spain lost fair and square as Italy's performance that game were the best of the entire championship.
Germany and Italy played safe and stupid yesterday, the right team won in the end after the worst penalty shoot-out I've ever seen.
May Iceland beat those baguettes.

Well, two unwritten laws of football were once again proven yesterday.

1. Germany always wins penalty shootouts
2. Germany can't beat Italy in a major tournament (a game that ends in penalties officially counts as a draw)

One might say the Germans found their loophole.

Spain didn't bring/use the right players.

That has got to be the worst Penalty Shootout I've ever seen.

Both sides were truly dire (in the Shootout) but I was, overall, happy to see the Germans go through, because they're [by far] the best Footballing side in the Tournament.

Italy were better (on the night and during the entire Tournament itself) than I expected, so credit to them.

But we paid dearly for this success. Khedira and Gomez are out of the tornament due to injury, Schweinsteiger might be as well. And Hummels will miss the semi due to two yellow cards.
That's one hell of a butcher's bill. Might end up being a phyrric victory, especially since it seems' they'll be facing France next.

In the end, these final stages of tournaments are often decided by luck. Luck wasn't with the Germans this year, what with key players dropping out left and right and totally unnecessary freak penalties.

Best of luck to France in the finale. I hope Griezmann makes that ponce Ronaldo cry.

For fuck's sake, Payet! That's not what I meant with making Ronaldo cry.

I wanted to support France but this is disgusting.

I'm heart broken to have seen Ronaldo going out like this. He didn't deserved it, he should have played this final up to the last second. And it has negatively impacted Les Bleus more than the Portugal's team. I still hope we can win, but I'm doubtful.

Edit : the fucking post. El hijo de puta de polo ! Noooooooooooo !

And those Parisians fuckers who weren't fucking heard the whole damned match ! Cursed fuckers !

Well, Karma is a bitch.

Still...with the old tournament mode, Portugal would not have survived the group stage...

If Ronaldo hadn't been injured, the French team probably would have had more heart to the game in the first half-time. Damn .

PORTUGAL!

France didn't make the right choice, Pogba shouldn't be used as a DMC and both wing backs were too old.

Not a big football fan, But I'm pretty dissapointed with Portugal winning given Ronaldo's "How dare Iceland not roll over and lose to us" comments and what France went through last November.

This final summed up the entire tournament - for me anyway - bland and boring as fuck. And given where Portugal finished in the group stages; laughable to boot.

Honestly can't recall the last time a major tournament was this poor.

Portugal played quite well in the knockout stages.

Viva la Portugal! First Lisbon will conquer your football tournaments and next the colonial world!

Although watching a football game on the television is dead boring and should not be encouraged

Playing the sport is fine enough. But watching others play it through a television is as fun as watching paint dry - you would need to be gambling or drunk to enjoy it.
