Sword seems random

Also, wasn't this supposed to be her, working for varian against human supremacists?

Seems more like Varian cleaning house because she did shady stuff for his dad

This kind of looks really stupid.

But I'll probably at least give it a chance.

Yeah the setup and the sword both seem very stupid. It's like, Kerrigan's expy is going on a Kerrigan-like plot of revenge... I am quite wary of this.

Should have stuck to "she is an agent of the Dominion, she goes on missions, maybe a plot is subtly woven in between, a plot where she decides what she wants, which is ideally to remain without memory wipes and still serve the Emperor if he can inspire her and other ghosts' loyalty."

Fucking with people's minds is the ugliest aspect of both the Confederacy and the Dominion, it should stop and it would serve as a nice plot, especially if someone within the ranks convinced the Emperor and the brass that a loyal soldier is better than a brain-panned one.
It would fit in very nicely as a follow up to SCII where the Valerian's dominion needs to learn and decide what of the old system should stay and what should be changed.

Last time Varian's dad trusted an assassin she stabbed his heart out. Of course he wants her gone.

Eh, not trying anything really. Just keeping the thread a bit up to date.

And despite the problems, I do look forward to this.

Have they announced what will the other extra campaigns be?

I'd love to see the end of Niadra or Hanson's stories. IIRC one of Kerrigan's evolution missions is in Haven but that might be from the cut content

A+ edit Grunge.

EDIT:

So it seems we're seeing a Repeat of Arcturus Mengsk's old Tarsonis strategy, but by the defenders of man. They're luring in zerg to civilian planets with Psi Emitters and then swooping in to save the day to discredit Valerian.

Beat it today.

- First mission is a escape mission. Normal stealh, but nice. Last part is riding Eagles on a road, moving along cars, killing of enemys and an endboss.

- Second mission is basicly Tower Defense against attacking Zerg Waves

Last missing has two part:

-Maning Garrisions with Soldiers to defend the surroundings of our base.
-Infiltrating the Base of the Defenders and finding out their plans.

Was quite fun.

Defenders of man have an interesting aesthetic, I find myself wondering if there's a hint of old UED in them.

Hmm, strange. One of the implications back in SC was that the terrans only thought the zerg were drawn to the psi emitters by instinct, while their behavior was in reality driven by Overmind pursuing the psi emissions in the belief that they were coming from an exceptionally powerful terran psionic it could infest. The whole psi emitter plan only really worked at all under the assumption that the Overmind was mistaking their emissions for something else, while the terrans hadn't yet deduced that the Swarm was being guided by an advanced intelligence that might eventually catch on and stop blindly chasing after psi emitters.

I think without the overmind they still get drawn to emitters

Worked for Kerrigan in brood war too

Tech has proudly changed over time as well

So, upon finishing I'm wondering the same. The name kinda bespeaks a potential human supremacist angle.

Though they could as easily be unrepentant supporters of Valerian's father who flourished under the old regime and fell on hard times after. Or maybe some folks who were just plain that loyal to him. We and the protagonists know he was a bastard, but at the top of his game Arcturus knew how to belt out some effective propaganda and spin, so it's possible his whole "united humanity against everyone else" spiel might have created some zealously devoted, honest-to-goodness believers who didn't appreciate their new emperor having stood by as one alien force rampaged through Augustgrad before joining forces with another alien force who set fire to everything on several terran worlds.

With the pair of clasped arms on it, their sigil bears a marked resemblance to that of the Dominion and its inspiration the Sons of Korhal, though having a globe in the back is vaguely reminiscent of the UED emblem. The black star is probably open to interpretation, as it seems to be present in the symbols of the Defenders of Man, the UED, and the Dominion.

The use of psi emitters could potentially swing either way, as both the UED and Mengsk's government were both known to use psionic devices to manipulate the zerg.

Having simple human supremacists is a good angle. We fought the god of darkness in Legacy so they shouldn't try to top that. A simple adventure is the right way to go
