I'm bumping this five year old thread up, because of a recent video by Bellular.

I almost had forgotten that Blizzard originally plaanned Ebonhorn to be Wrathion.
According to the video and Wowpedia, this got mainly changed because it wouldn't have made sense for him to have become an important advisor for Highmountain Taurens that quickly.

The other reason was imo:

Why the fuck should we help that brat?

Look, what he has done Post-MoP. He allied with Kairoz (who clearly was crazy) and the Inifinites to free Garrosh and to create that Infinite Orc army against the Legion.

A plan that was nuts in the first place and of course backfired horribly.

I showed again, what I have written in the OP. He's still a stupid brat.

But it will be interesting what will be up in the future, since it was hinted that Embarion is aware of him and wanted to look into "family matters".

Just a Random thought, but do we know that he ever actually made it off Draenor? The Mag’har recruitment scenario, which place 30 years down the road from the events in WoD makes it seem like traveling between the two Timeways is quite difficult..... I doubt the Horde or Alliance would be terribly keen on bringing him back. I’m sure he could find a way to sneak with them, but what if he missed the opportunity...... What if he missed Legion because he was stranded in an alternative Timeway for 30 years.

Nope, he was present near the Black Dragonshrine in "The Deaths of Chromie" Scenario.

So he made it back.
