Runes The Gangs of Gadgetzan!

Who do you stand with?

The Grimy Goons, The Jade Lotus, or the Kabal?

Personally? I'm Grimy Goons all the way!

Really would have wanted the Defias to be a fourth gang. It would have been perfect.

Eh, pretty far from their usual territory, would be tough to turn them into a gang that fits new gadgetzan look considering their origins.

Jesus that's a tough one, Grimy Goons has some of my favorite races (Dwarves and Worgen are part of them, if I'm not mistaken) whereas Kabal and Jade Lotus has some badass concept. (Nightmare Arakkoa and Harpies, plus Mantid ninjas.)

I'll have to think about it tomorrow, big fan of the the film noir theme this is going with.

How could there be a fourth gang, though?

The three gangs are made up of three of the classes each.

I was just saying that from a thematic point of view.

What are the classes for each?

The Brawlers = Paladin, Warrior, Hunter
Lotus = Druid, Rogue, Shaman
Kabal = Warlock, Priest, Mage

I mean you'd think Hunter and Rogue would be swapped, but whatever.

I think it's mainly that most of the class-specific panda cards are rogue. And rogue actually uses the other panda cards sometimes.

They were there back in Vanilla, as part of the Missing Diplomat questline. It seemed to be implied at the time that they were responsible for kidnapping Varian.

It's uncertain exactly how much of that remains canon since though Onyxia was still shown to have contacts with the Defias, the comic made it seem like the humans who actually smuggled Varian to Alcaz Island were more of her disguised dragonspawn instead.

Hunters have guns, just like the mafia goblins.

And rogues have that Asian/ninja thing going on.

Anyhow the Kabal seems most interesting, we saw eredar, we saw trolls, drakonid, blood elves... all juiced up and crazy. I love it.

The Grimy Goons are a close second, I always loved the "Warcraft in modern times" look.

I voted Kabal since I main Warlock and if I played Hearthstone then Warlock would be my likely go-to.

Wasn't easy though since the other two gangs are badass.

Kabal hands down for me. Any magic you can think of, any construct you desire, any way to dominate, any world set to fire.

I hate "warcraft in modern times" though.

Kabal all the way.

I guess I prefer my high fantasy settings with more magic and medieval warriors than science and guns. Like LotR & GoT.

I like my elves and orcs and humans... But not really those goblins and gnomes, although I've accepted them in t WoW setting and am fine with it.

PS: Don't have any problems with the gnomes themselves, I actually like the little guys - it's more their technology and such that bothers me slightly.

I gotcha, i agree lorewise, i prefer the mild steampunk stuff, but since hearthstone is wobblycanon, it gets a pass

I would like fantasynoire in its own setting though

Finally got an angle for your hearthsone card though, thanks.

Stop trying to find ways to divide by zero and cause paradoxes. The rules of nature were set in place for a very good reason, and they're not to be circumvented. Bad arachnid. Play nice.
