That's up to you. But seriously, waiting perhaps up to a year to witness which is perhaps the better arc of the manga so far (even if the last one was also incredible) seems a bit stupid to me.

So a new Blue Exorcist anime was annouced for 2017. Looks like it will start off with where the anime stopped following the manga.

Not surprised. Figured with the author appearing at Anime Expo there was some big announcement coming.

Wonder if they'll bring back Sawano. Probably will.

In other anime news, Digimon tri is getting a dub, and it looks like they may be trying to get back the old cast for it, too. Jeff Nimoy (Tentomon and all digivolutions) is coming back, at the least. Would be nice if the rest of the cast does too (though I seem to recall that Tai's VA, Joshua Seth, retired).

Oh, and fucking Berserk premieres in two days. BERSERK! NEW BERSERK! I can't believe it.

Guess we'll see how well Berserk is. I know the CGI will annoy a lot of people.

Wholecake Island is going to be the New World Thriller Bark.
Remember, he's mirroring the Grand Line arc in the NW. Dressrosa was the equivalent of Alabastia, on multiple levels. This is gonna be a sort of Thriller Bark, after that we get something involving Kaidou and probably the World Gov again, so sort of a Water 7/ Enie's type of deal, and that'll lead into the big long mother arc to end all arcs with the Revolutionary Army, the Strawhat Fleet and all its allies against the Blackbeards and the Navy.

Already loving it, and can't wait to see this animated. Thriller Bark was one of my favourite arcs. I fully expect Big Mam to do something truly scary to Luffy, like shave off 10 years of his life etc...Oda's been planting seeds for Luffy either not surviving the climax of the story, or being implied to die soon after for years now.

So judging by Bleach's opening page, we may well be in the final stretch.

"Just __ more chapters!"

Of course, lord only knows really how long this'll go, but that they're teasing (even though they blanked out the number) how many chapters are left...I'm getting the feeling this truly is the end run. And also that Kubo is being hurried along.

Or that he chose to end it now.

He said at some point that the manga could last for 8 years, but I think he said that like two years ago.

Neither am I, but for some reason, sports anime/manga always manage to reel me in. Stuff like Eyeshield 21, Hajime no Ippo, Hungry Heart: Wild Striker, Ace of Diamond...

ReWrite summed up my thoughts pretty well during the first episode.

Tomorrow will be a good day for premiers with Arslan premiering at 3 AM EDT tonight (as its a rare anime that get a primetime slot in Japan) and Zestiria tomorrow.

Well, it's arguably the type of manga that's supposed to nearly always be a tournament arc style, so progressing elevation of the challenges with every new confrontation being better and stronger feels more natural than a lot of other genres, which tend to inject gimmicks and transformations every time they need to justify why the latest "tier" of opposition is so routinely more powerful than the last.

Not yet. The tags didn't really sound like my kind of show as I tend to prefer the sci-fi, fantasy and/or seinen genres.I can deal with shounen that are similar to Attack on Titan or Seraph of the End and not at all like Bleach or One Piece and I tend to dislike Slice of Life shows. If the reviews for it seem well enough I guess I could just binge it.

The shows I have down to try/watch are:

Tales of Zestiria
Arslan Senki
Taboo-Tattoo
Servamp
Rewrite
Regalia: The Three Sacred Stars
Qualidea Code
Orange
Nejimaki Seirei Senki: Tenkyou no Alderamin

And continue to watch Re:Zero which is entering a really great arc.

Got a new trailer for the SAO movie today as well.

That makes sense.

@Arslan:
Is it just me, or did the animation's quality decrease?

Anyway, it feels good to watch Arslan again. Andragoras was a badass, and who's her child? The Anime implies that it's Arslan, but afaik, Arslan is just their adopted son... (And she doesn't love him either.)

It was jumpy at times which was likely due to the CG for the horses. At least that CG in this season is a lot better. The other good news is that the producer already said he won't be rushing these 8 episodes so a third season is basically already confirmed.

Tales of Zestiria has started pretty well. The anime will not follow the games story so that may end up being a big plus.

Got the new op for Re:Zero today as well...which will probably be skipped half the time as they skip the end and op to lengthen episodes.
