Darkmoon Card: Elementals

Wait, you're saying I can recreate the Sonic fandom character I had when I was like 11?

Ready yourselves, for only the strong and cunning will survive these dark ages.
There's only one true Sonic OC and his name is Sonichu. Everything else is bootleg.

Damn I just found out about this, I wish I'd seen it way back when, this would've been a cool game if the kickstarter had taken off

So I just discovered Persona 5's OST is fully available on iTunes. Excellent.

Much easier to buy this way than importing the damn CD at like $60.

So...Injustice 2?
Already a better DC movie than any of the DCEU movies.

A buddy of mine and I wanted to try out something new and the choice of games fell between Endless Space 2 and Stellaris. Decided in favour of Stellaris since it's really cheap through humblebundle. I've only been playing for two hours but my God there is so much stuff you can do in this game it's insane. It's incredibly fun.

The only downsite is that, despite you having the option to freely create your own faction out of a large variety of preset species portraits (humanoid, avian, mammalian, fungoid, diverse bug races or snail/squid-like races) and giving them different traits, ethics and government forms, I think that the races in Endless Space 2 are a lot better defined and have more character and charm to them, which is something that's very important to me in these kinda games.

Darkmoon Card: Elementals

There was another Rising Storm 2 beta this weekend. It's turning out really good except for the horrible voice acting.

Are they the best ones out there? I've been wanting to try Stellaris, I hadn't heard about Endless Space 2 before. I haven't played a space 4X since Star Trek: Birth of the Federation (which sparked my interest in Star Trek originally).

Those are the tow big ones, yeah. General opinion seems to be that Stellaris is more polished and has more content probably by virtue of being 2 years old already. Endless Space has just been released, but it's got a lot of cool concepts and fantastic race/faction design. If you want a grand 4x you really can pick either of them, though Stellaris is currently incredibly cheap (around 10 bucks) through humblebundle which is the reason I went for it, though sooner or later I'm probably also getting Endless Space 2 when it's on sale.

Stellaris is right on the line between 4x and grand strategy.

I've heard a lot of good things about it, but I've also heard that it's virtually impossible to actually finish a game.

It's not. It would just take a long time.

speaking of 4X, been having a lot of fun with this.

Also, it only took me Endless Space 1, Endless Legend, Endless Dungeon and THEN Endless Space 2 to realise it's all in the same canonical universe. FML.

Yup, excellent voice acting too. Felt like an alternate reality episode of the DCAU. Robert Englund as Scarecrow was a nice surprise. And goddamn WW is a colossal cunt. Although I kinda like it too. In this universe everyone's a prick, so her acting like a more traditional child of Zeus/Greek demigod makes perfect sense.

I briefly looked through the Elder Scrolls Legends cards.

Man, was the Elder scrolls universe not the right one for a TCG.

Have you already discovered that, contrary to appearances, there's no humans?

Am I the only one who's already bored of 'DUDE INSANE REDNECK CHRISTIANS IN RURAL USA LMAO'? It just feels like the latest trend for horror/survival and it's already dried up. At least the Himalayan setting was kind of unique last time. Whilst I think the USA has a lot of unexplored potential for such a setting it's no doubt going to come off as a checklist of tropes instead of in any way interesting. It won't be a stretch to guess that the main antagonist will be a mad but charismatic preacher, there'll probably be a cliche redneck mother who interacts by screaming, the 'big guy' mentally challenged son, a cute younger sibling who aids the player because she disagrees with her family, the deformed brother who's smart but crippled by inbreeding, etc.

Oh, and there's even a radio tower in the background. Grreeaatt...

Judging by the mountains in the background its probably in Utah, more specifically a polygamous commune that's violently seceded from the US, somehow able to fully defend itself.

Edit: Huh. Montana. Militia secessionists then.

I was hoping for the Vietnam or "Island of Genetically Engineered Dinosaurs" settings that were leaked before Primal was announced.

Given that the last two "Redneck and/or Christian fundamentalist" horror games (Resident Evil 7 and Outlast 2) both had plot twists that the villains were actually good people who had been driven insane and manipulated to act like that by mad scientists, I wonder if that'll happen with Far Cry 5 too.

Also, is it just me, or do those guys on the cover look like evil versions of the Duck Dynasty people?

I think Rob Zombie is the only one who handled the redneck horror concept really well. In a modern setting at least. The grand title goes to the first Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
