This is fascinating stuff. Did you write it all yourself? I love the "Burrow Roots" & the Griselda story.

Thanks for the love, by the way. "Burrow Roots" may have the tune of "Tramp! Tramp! Tramp!", but it's inspired by "Hard Tack, Come Again No More".

My Warcraft II obsession was simultaneous to an American Civil War obsession, in my middle school years, so I still have a bizarre connection in my brain between Civil War melodies and campaigns across Azeroth.

Seastace, Where's Your Cavehole?
A popular Wildhammer drinking song of unknown origin. Records are scarce in Wildhammer territory, so it's unclear when "Seastace, Where's Your Cavehole?" was written. Some believe it is a modern tune dating after the domestication of gryphons, with lines about the "bonni mount" and viewing Ironforge from the sky. Others date it to an earlier era, with the mount referring to the author's mountain home.

Recommended Melody: http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=q2fizeoT22g

Lyrics
I just came down from mae bonni mount
I'm not too big, but I'm awfully stout
The lasses living hereabouts
Ask Seastace, where's your cavehole?

Let the blizzards come, let the rains fall down
They won't send me into the ground
Ye best look up when my thunder bounds
'Cause I nae live in caveholes

I had some friends o'er for a feast
Saw them comin', from atop my peak
They stared down for an hour, at least
Shouting Seastace, where's yer cavehole?

Let the blizzards come, let the rain fall down
They won't send me into the ground
Ye best look up when my thunder bounds
'Cause I nae live in caveholes

Some trolls once took me from the trees
Seventeen green rats draped in leaves
They looked me over, as you please, said
Dwarf man, where's your cavehole?

Let the axes and the swords come round
They won't send me into the ground
An' when your corpse is facin' down
Ye weren't struck by a cavehole

If ye saw Ironforge from the sky
You'd look no Bronzebeard in the eye
They're far too deep in their caverns, aye
An' heads stuck up their caveholes

Let the hammer sing, let the stormclouds part
Let the north wind breathe life to yer hearth
Ye cannae hold firm 'gainst an aerie dwarf
'Cause we nae live in caveholes

Ogre

Dentarg!
A Musical for the Horde

Legend of the Land

(Scene opens on a group of five statues. They look somewhat familiar...)

(...but different.)

(MOGOR enters.)

MOGOR
How does a one-eyed, simpleminded son of a boulder hauler
Rise and climb through the feces and fodder
To be primetime bonafide shadow augor
for the first-time Hordified orcs and others?

*

DEATHWING
The blue plastered ogre caster, without a caste or
Education or class, or
Link to Gorians past, or
Understanding that's vaster
Than working harder, faster
By fourteen he became an overseer for his master

* *

KARGATH
And everyday he drove the haulers carrot and stick
Extra food for over'chievers while the slackers died off quick
He was loathe to coddle masses of the lazy and the sick
Said that those who never learned their role were never gonna click

* * *

TERON
He was working in the quarry when the orc attack came
Barely heard the roar of battle from the miles and miles away
His master died in glory as a bloody little stain
And bam! The Horde's ascension had just broken all his chains

* * * *

GROM
News started spreadin': the "O"s are gonna unify!
Orcs and ogres beddin' to blot out all the draenei
Chieftains vet your vet'rans, find out where your assets lie
Set the setting for our guy to fly - what's your name, guy?

DENTARG
Dentarg the ogre slave
My name is Dentarg the ogre slave
I got a pretty small wiki page
But that's okay, that's okay...

GRISELDA
On to Shattrath, baptism of fire and of steel
The ogres' fat scattered so their meat would be a shield
The orcs were all a-wrath, drunk on blood they took the field...

(whispered) But when Dentarg spilled his, it tasted just as real!

ZUL'JIN
It's fun to play invader when your army breaks de food cap!
Grunts, spearthrowers, raiders, warlocks, imps, infernals, siegecraft
A voice sayin',

"Dentarg, this is more than a war!"

ZUL'JIN
He was part of somethin' bigger than he'd ever been before

GUL'DAN
He could've stayed nothing but a jock, a nameless ram within the flock
If he wanted to rise up to the top he had to be cream of the crop

CHO'GALL
Started searchin', mergin' ogres into patrols
Huntin' down draenei survivors so the 'locks could harvest souls

GARONA
Removing holdouts that they tracked into the hills
Proving that an non-orc like himself had useful skills
Hey! If you catch the eye of the Horde's high command,
You could be a legend of the land

You'll be a legend of the land

DENTARG
Sounds okay...

You'll be a legend of the land

DENTARG
Yeah, that's okay!

Dentarg the ogre-mage!
Your destiny's in the queue
Never dropped the ball, never bit the hand, in your life
Dentarg the ogre-mage!
We set a hot key to you
Will chronicles save a place?
Both for you and for your race?
You'll make two worlds run at your pace!

MOGOR
They're building up the Portal now, see if you can find 'im!
Tougher than a battlefield, easier than minin'
(Yeah, fans can make up anything - the lore on him ain't bindin')

We fought with him!

We died for him!

We trusted him!

I saved him.

And me? I'm the fool who could've stopped him.

Stop him!
Stop him!

It's a really small wiki page, but that's okay...

What's your name, guy?

DENTARG THE OGRE-MAGE!
