he original Illidan was still Furion's brother, but he was a satyr. His dabbling in magic had changed him into one.

because Jaina was going to become a banshee or something... I don't remember very well, but that plot point obviously got moved to Sylvanas Windrunner
Imagine Jaina Proudmoore, Queen of Forsaken

The blademaster truly is the most broken hero in the game.

This is one of the only Warcraft related discoveries I've made in the past few years that wasn't disheartening.

Wow - this is the guy who created "The Culling," probably one of the most remembered and lore-important missions in the entire game. I'd say that is a claim to fame. Bravo!

Most of the missions he designed were good.

Wrath of the Betrayer (the one with the runner), Brothers Stormrage (the one where Illidan & Furion have to work together to save Tyrande), Dungeons of Dalaran (Kael escapes the dungeon), King Arthas (the one where you slaughter a whole lot of civilians).

All of those are really good. Like absolutely stellar. I think King Arthas is one of my absolute favourite WarCraft 3 missions. Like top 3.

King Arthas was neat for showing what Arthas' focus was on.

The Dreadlords got away? Better hunt some Humans to make Lordaeron total Undead.

Ner'zhul, the ghost orc who I'm surely loyal to sent me a distress message? Better keep hunting those Humans.

And Arthas ends up sailing away from Lordaeron so that he could help Ner'zhul anyway.

Arthas sailing from his undead port while talking to Kel'thuzad was one of my favorite moments on the campaign. It felt... warm. Like Kel'thuzad was Arthas' true family and the bond they shared was stronger than what he felt for others.

It was neat for showing a capable Arthas and an efficient Scourge wiping out what was left of the human resistance in Lordaeron.

I'm not actually sure exactly WHY Arthas and Ner'zhul were so intent on purging the living, I mean Kel'thuzad mentions it as their goal in Scourge of Lordaeron, but that sounded like conjecture in hindsight.

And yeah, that scene where Arthas leaves Lordaeron is a bit bittersweet. Arthas in Legacy of the Damned is weirdly kinda empathetic and likable. Certainly better than the brat he was in Reign of Chaos.

Ner'zhul was required to work to steamroll the EKs while the Dreadlords were looking over him. Arthas being his top Death Knight of course helped him with that.

It's King Arthas that's calls for questions. The Legion was beaten in Kalimdor with Tichondrius killed (or not). Arthas rides in on his horsey and gets the Dreadlord Trio running. Right after that Arthas talks about making Lordaeron Full Undead even though the Dreadlords got away. It's not like Ner'zhul must have ordered him to.
