This is what I’m talking about.

This is my prediction for what Cinema Sins will do. Personally i found the puppet hideous which you'd know if you had read my last post. The damn thing looks like Yoda posthumorously grew some neck tumors.

Mana

Having Yoda in it in the first place was a dumb move. Let the stupid green muppet rest in peace.

How much forces does the First Order have after the movie? I think they don't have a mega forces like the Empire, just got some super weapons. With SK base and the super ship gone, they must also suffered a lot of losses.

Don't forget that the First Order beat the New Republic and took over the galaxy off-screen (in the opening crawl).

But do they really have forces to occupy the galaxy? Remember the Empire was turned from the Repubic so it had strong grasp over the galaxy, this is totally different.

They are the Empire, just rebranded, and have mega forces from the unknown regions.

Really? None of those leaders got anything to do with the Empire. And even the remaining forces of the Empire were largely destroyed in the Aftermath trilogy.

I did read some of it! But it was so long. I thought some of your shortest complaints were stupid, too, such as Snoke being a bad name or Poe/Finn being torpedoed.

K, an idiot, dislikes this movie but likes the inclusion of an antiquated puppet that serves no purpose.

I never said I disliked it. Have you not noticed me defending some of the sillier attacks?
Hell, I even like TPM to an extent. I just see TLJ as being about on the same level, if not maybe a touch lower.

I'm sure the intent was good and in general i always applaud practical effects. It's just... it seems practical creature creation is a dieing art. Not in that it's never used anymore but in that nobody in the industry is GOOD at it anymore. The Yoda puppet wasn't horrible because it was a puppet, it was horrible because it looked misshapen. Like a carricature of Yoda rather than Yoda.

They either have infinite forces or are a small battered forces.
There is no plan, no scale, no in universe logic, only plot troops.

Yeah, they are extremely cheesy, even worse than most of the EU post RotJ villains.

Just watched it.

In the opening crawl, "decimated" is misused in the WC2 variety.

Within minutes, I see bombers opening their bomb bay doors to drop a payload. And bombs fall down. In space. It's like... space. With gravity.

And then the movie kept going.

Kyle Katarn was retconned so that this garbage could live.

I don't understand why people get upset by this particular violation of the laws of physics when they are everywhere.

Yeah how dare people expect a movie to be an improvement from its decades old predecessors.

Loath as i am to defend The Last Asspull i wonder what's the problem here. Artificial Gravity has been a thing in Star Wars since A New Hope out of necessity if nothing else. The shitty bombers had artificial gravity like any other ship bigger than a fighter; all they need to do to get bombs to drop "down" is to have the bomb arsenal be within the vessel's gravity field (which we know to be true) and just drop them. They're going to rain "down" the way they went from the bay onwards precisely BECAUSE nothing's gonna change their inertia.

Kyle Katarn was retconned to give us Rogue One and frankly that's been the only good product they shat out since the EU died...

No, I still needed an "airlock open" effect in some form or fashion, maybe a noise or a sudden suction of the bombs (like when Grievous broke the airlock seal in RotS, or any given space movie) to let me know the director did remember that they were in space.

Mission 1 of his first game - his backstory at best. But Kyle is just one example.

An entire universe and millenia of its lore were wiped out. For this story that ends with an entire "resistance" fitting on the Falcon.
