Hahaha sorry if this has already been pointed out, but I just realized that with the 7.3 caster animations update, during their idle combat stance, orcs are finally standing up straight.

It did? If that's true, then yeah, definitely that.

I know that we all like mudkipz, but I hope (despite knowing better) that this year's BlizzCon Pet won't be another murloc again. Give me a gnoll, Blizz! It's not like they're not your second favourite mongrel race.

Calling it now: It'll be a pirate-themed murloc, so they can claim it's inspired by all the pirate stuff in Legion and bait people into screaming "South Seas confirmed!"

Given that their models are encrypted, I'm pretty sure the Stormwind Skychaser and Orgrimmar Interceptor flying mounts added in 7.3's first build are the Blizzcon rewards.

I still find it odd they didn't ask preach if he was attending Gamescon and made it a point to emphasize that he should attend Blizzcon . So I don't know what Gamescon will show besides the patch and raid

Given Warcraft III going up on the PTR, I'm starting to think Omacron's right and the announcement Blizzard's been teasing is Warcraft III: Remastered rather than an expansion.

While that is an option, I am fairly sure something will be announced for WoW as well. As of right now, we have no idea what happens after 7.3, and given the speed they've been updating us on things with Legion, gamescom is the right moment to do just that.

Also, while it is the same franchise, those are still different teams. : p

Given how the hype is already out of control, Blizzard should warn beforehand if there's no expansion reveal at Gamescom. It's better than to face the consequences of all those crazy people disappointed.

Given the website said there will be more details about what's being announced/shown at Gamescom coming soon, we'll know for sure when said updates come out (probably Tuesday). If they mention an expansion reveal, then yes, if they don't, then no.

It's a baby step but...

Trolls too. It's kind of wonky though, since a handful of spells still use the old animations so they'll slouch for a second every now and then.

Well, they regretted killing Illidan on the first patch of his expansion so he came back after years of whining. I don't think there's enough whining over wanting Arthas or Ner'zhul back to even consider doing it.

I don't think there's any will to bring Arthas back (unless he appears for a bit in a Shadowlands expansion) mostly because Bolvar is being handled quite awesomely and terrifyingly.

With how Illidan is being treated do we really want Arthas back?

Lightbulb

I wouldn't mind seeing Arthas again in the form of a Force Ghost trying to atone for his actions while his soul was lost.

Now that I think about it, I would actually love seeing his ghost setting Jaina straight.

Next expansion : all player characters leave their faction to join the new "Illidan was the best" faction.

Lord Illidan knew the way to Argus.

Yeah! I was afraid he'd be whitewashed after all the Xe'ra nonsense in 7.0, but he's been the old bastard we all love to hate since his return. Only way to make it better is by maling he do a big mistake or betray us to gain more power at some point.

Arthas has no need to return. WotLK handled him well and left the door open for future Lich King stories.

I agree... I don't think they have fucked him up this expansion.

Except for the missing part of him interacting with his DH in the Fel Hammer or with the Slayer himself, or the story with Kain And Altruis... Which are non existent

Regarding the expansion, if they announce it at Gamescom, it'll be a cinematic , a quick preview like Legion, some words and bam, go on the website to know more, more details at blizzcon, nothing else, nothing more.

Lord Illidan is too busy to give attention to his toadies. It's in character!

I would like to have a multitude of minor races with sparse class selections that could join any faction like Furbolg (Warrior, Druid, Shaman, Rogue, Hunter), Jinyu (Warrior, Shaman, Priest, Monk, Rogue), Tuskarr(Warrior, Shaman, Hunter, Rogue, Death Knight) and Arakkoa (Warrior, Shaman, Hunter, Rogue, Priest).
