Ogre

The idea that every conceivable ogre tribe managed to migrate over the entirety of Azeroth and then establish successful settlements in the most adverse conditions all in the span of about thirty-years always struck me as far-fetched. They're strangely one of the most successful races of Azeroth - and they've only been here for a generation.

They could just be abberations from storm giants like humans were from vrykul.

Dunno how they could grow two heads though. Might be breeding.

Drugon the Frostblood's info leaves no doubt that they are native to Azeroth and not Draenor. Considering Brann got most of his infos from an altered source, it's safe to say this, and a few other theories, are wrong.

I do support the idea they are a trogglike mistake.

Hardly every conceivable ogre tribe; I hope you're just extrapolating :p

Only some did.

Their presence in Kalimdor is probably explained as them following Cho'gall and the Twilight's Hammer, who in turn were guided by C'thun.

As for their continued existence in places such as Stranglethorn, Duskwood, Loch Modan and Arathi (just to name a few), it might be explained by the fact that due to their aggressiveness and strength, they would probably often be rather left alone. Few Kingdoms would be able to spare resources against such an enemy that would probably result in so much loss. Especially if they remained mostly to themselves in their corner of the land (as, I recognize, did not happen in Stromgarde).

You know, that stands to reason. I remember the Gordunni capitulating to Cho'gall in Feralas pretty easily. Remembered loyalties, there, I guess.

Is it possible that Ettins exist on both Draenor and Azeroth? Plenty of animals like wolves and raptors do, presumably cross-pollinated by the Titans (or Aggramar alone inn Draenor's case)

Could it be something that happened to both the giants of Draenor and Azeroth that made them turn into Ettins?

Don't forget that tree ancients exist on both worlds.

Both worlds ordered by the titans. I wouldn't be surprised if Aggramar drew inspiration from Azerothian giants when it came to Draenor when crafting the breakers. I like the idea that, the Ettin precursors are from Draenor, but the entire race sprung up on Azeroth. Either that or, portals and rifts been opening up between Draenor and Azeroth for a great while. A lot of Ettin happen to exist around areas where ley lines exist - Dalaran (Hillsbrad), Redridge north of Deadwind Pass and the Broken Isles.

Ehm, Draenor is a Titan influenced world, but it certainly is not an ordered world. All that Agrammar basically did there was giving the elements a physical form, one they could not achieve before because of the abundance of the fifth element, in the form of Grond.

No Ogre religion, then? You see Priests scattered here and there. Gronn-Priests in Gruul's Lair and those 'Worm-Priests' in Frostfire. Yet the Gorian Empire seems entirely atheistic, or at least Divine Humanistic... Divine Ogristic?

They used to fear and worship the gronn, until Gorgog killed them and proved they weren't gods. Though the ones in Outland today seem to have gone back to gronn fear-worship.

Sure, but if you ask the local Azerothian ogre what he believes in, what response are you likely to get?
