Default Best Music of Blizzard

Okay, so there is a best music of Warcraft thread, but what if we expand the scope to include all Blizzard games?

What is the best musical pieces that Blizzard has produced?

I would like to nominate "Tristram," as I think it's opening chords mark it as one of Blizzard's most iconic songs.

Blizzard's music is one area of their work that has, in my eyes and ears, never diminished in quality or scope.

I could honestly sit here all night trading tracks with you (or anyone else that wanted to!) but in the interests of a clean thread:

I adore every piece of Terran music in SC2, but that is probably just edging it.

SCV READY!

It's not their best work, far from it, but it's certainly not bad. (Unlike the rest of D3 but let's not start that! )

It may have reused Matt Uelmen's materials before he left, but the soundtrack did not sound like Diablo. It sounded like Warcraft.

Diablo 2 Soundtrack is #1 in my books
Tristram theme is definitely the best song they ever composed though.

Original terran theme, status: legendary

0:35 jizz in my pants

It really, really fits the game it is in and the race it represents. I am absolutely in love with SC humans and their rustic spacemen motif.

Warcraft, too many to count but:

Don't play Diablo.

Starcraft 1 sound design and music was phenomenal.

My favorite would either be some of the WC2 music (though preferably not in midi format) or the theme music of Zul'drak.

It is pretty good, sometimes I like taking songs from games I haven't played but I imagine it just doesn't mean the same to me as it does for you.

Just awesome imo now if your question was in regard to iconic and not best piece of music made I would go with tristram for sure.

A much 'dumber' selection than others, I guess, but this part of the Pandaria inn music is forever lodged in my brain now. Probably not the best representative piece for Mists of Pandaria, but it's the song I remember the most (besides the stellar Alliance and Horde themes from Landfall and beyond).

Makes me laugh every time I hear it.

The Alliance entrance onto Pandaria in 5.1 (with the Alliance ships coming out of the mists with the Skyfire flying overwatch) still gives me goosebumps. Especially when the wave of tanks and soldiers hit the beach.

100% because of the music. I watched it the first time without the music, and was like 'that sucked'.

And all it takes is a tactically calculated "for the Horde" rallying the troops to make them all think "OMG she really does care!"

I've got a buddy who I've played with for years, he NEVER has Music on in WoW, and never has, he claims. Just doesn't work for him, he says.

I can't even imagine half of what I've experienced in WoW without the [excellent] music going with it.

There's a buddy of a buddy of mine that also never has any WoW-music on. It infuriates me because he always gives jackshit-arguments for his behaviour in general. (so non-gaming related things too of course)

The music is just as big as a part of WoW as the visuals and the gameplay...
