The Farstriders confuse me on what the make of Quel'Thalas' military looks like. I usually imagine a large portion of melee footman followed by a smaller amount of range archers and an even smaller amount of casters. The elves however are known not for their footman but their casters and rangers.

Halduron is pretty likeable himself even if he didn't get nearly as much development as the other two. Never could say why I like him either, maybe because he's just not a dick like so many blood elves? Working with Vol'jin probably has something to do with it too.

Edit: @Silveraith: If Kael's forces and blood elf guards are any indication blood elves have no lack of melee soldiers that aren't part of the Farstriders and even so, some rangers(like our beloved regent lord) seems to be more into melee so I wouldn't overthink if I were you. Besides the blood knights also seem to have a large presence in the military, I imagine most of them were ordinary warriors before joining the order.
