What should the Sunfury leader be like?

Every other major BE organization has a clear leader, and now these guys are back in the picture (albeit a picture still unframed), I feel they need one too. Every BE leader does a good job of embodying a certain aspect of the race, but what should the Sunfury one/ones be like? Male/female? A warlock, a warrior, a priest? What about a backstory? Or maybe he or she could be one of the blood elves thought dead on Outland, pardoned for their crimes and put on a tight leash under the revised regime.
I'm headcanoning a female warrior who's pretty much BC Liadrin, but maybe there are better options.

I never thought the Sunfury were really an organization anymore, let alone have a leader. Every blood elf 'faction' in Quel'thalas right now comes with certain classes/roles. The Sunfury were just a military force with pretty much every type of combatant the blood elves had, if anything I imagine they'd be assimilated in the military and they'd answer to Halduron. Though I suppose they could be kept as an elite force kept for special cases? That could justify an official leader, albeit one that would be kept on a tight leash by Halduron/Lor'themar.

Hmm, maybe.
In The Shadow of the Sun
made it seem as though they were still operating under the "Sunfury" banner at least.
This
mentions "Sunfury Runeseekers" too, though eh.

Did I miss something? At what point did the Sunfury come back?

It's mentioned in Theron's short story, doesn't say when exactly but it's likely between the end of TBC and the beginning of WotLK.

I personally think that the Sunfury should be treated like the Quel'Thalas version of the Secret Service or the pre-MoP Kor'Kron. The most elite and high ranking Blood elves in the service of the kingdom. Their sole duty would be to protect the reigning monarch and their family. They would only take orders from the reigning monarch and would be more loyal to the position then the actual person.
This would also help bridge the gap on why they returned to Quel'Thalas after Kael's death and help people to understand that these are the Blood elves Kael took with him, the best of the best.
The Sunfury would likely be made us of all the character classes available to Blood elves. Being a Sunfury or in the Sunfury would be a highly prestigious position.

Kir the Wizard
A scientist, like Pathaleon. Someone using knowledge in technology, arcane and fel to craft new machines and constructs.

Promote Eldin Sunstrider from random hero to Warcraft Character. Kael's actions burned the family name and he wants to try and build up more political favor before he makes any kind of claim on the throne. Even then he might only make it to being a figurehead.

Silveraith mentioned "prestige." Prestige? Indeed, that's what we deserve; but look how they treat the legacy of Pathaleon the Calculator, Grand Astromancer Capernian, and Master Engineer Telonicus; they are branded as demon-worshipers, along with the late Sun King. That's the propaganda of Lor'themar the Usurper, who serves now Thrall the Slaver (how ironic the name of this most peculiar green-skinned aberration!) more than the Quel'dorei.
They
who stayed behind in their comfortable home while we paved the ways in Hellfire Peninsula;
they
who were only able to wield the Holy Light again thanks to our capture of M'uru in the Battle of Tempest Keep, in which our warriors fought valiantly;
they
who held against the symptoms of arcane withdrawal only through the new knowledge we gathered from Illidan and the energy of the Manaforges we built with hard labor;
they
who only came to Outland once a convenient way was opened, and started killing us, their own brethren, at the words of some Orc who promised them they will get rich rewards for doing so! Now they call
us
the traitors, and we are reviled. Liadrin lies in bed with the blue-skinned creatures of cloven hooves, and tells us that we were wrong to use the help of the Gan'arg technicians in the construction of Manaforges!
When the time comes for the Light of a Thousand Moons to rise from the depths, and the Quel'dorei again have a Queen, it will be that She will recognize who is worthy and restore the name of Sunfury to its rightful position of prestige; for Lady Vashj has doubtlessly reported the valorous exploits of those who followed the Prince into exile to her Queen. But I do not wish harm to the others, who are still my own people, as misguided as they may be; except for those who knowingly propagate lies, such as Liadrin and Lor'themar.
