  • Warcraft 1 was orcs vs. humans. This set the tone and the rules for the franchise.

The night elf and Forsaken narratives are tangential to that narrative, but it doesn't really dismantle the narrative; it's not like the game ends and there's peace between the orcs and humans.

Except it does? Everything tells us that relations between Theramore and Orgrimmar were peaceful before Daelin.
The main plots of WCIII for both humans and orcs were survive and make a new home, nothing of the idiotic human v orc thematic there. Even Daelin's arrival didn't change that because a period of relative peace continued after he died and Thrall spared Theramore after his victory, contrary to what you'd expect if that really was the thematic.

Frankly I am surprised day after day that Blizzard still persists with this moronic idea that died in WCIII, just about no one likes orcs vs humans. Feel free to put that on a poll, and Blizzard are just being idiotic by pushing this in spite of everything.

And well, to be blunt, things changed. In WCIII they changed and it was for the better.

Saying that "well it was like that in the begging so it has to be like that forever" is a logical fallacy if I ever saw one.

The whole point was to end this conflict with a resolution. Orcs found a new homeland away from humanity, the new nation of humans became brothers-in-arms with the orcs, the end.

Durotar has no bone to fight over with any of the human nations.
