Were dragons always flesh?

With the emergence of elemental themed dragons (who seem to have been there a long time.) I am wondering how they fit with the dragonflights, and if they represent a more pure incarnation of the titans original plan for the dragons.

The reason why I say this, is that even life guarding entities like Ammunae and Freya. They both have been constructs. Which makes sense as flesh seems to be more initially open to corruption (despite loken and the others keepers getting controlled.)

So why would they make an exception for a race of reptiles, based off some giant protodrake just because that one being impressed them.

What if the names, bronze, ruby, cobalt, emerald, and obsidian were literal rather then just a colour based descriptor.

Does this idea make any sense=p?

Were dragons originally made of stone, and if so, were they effected by the Curse of Flesh? I do not know. Not all titanic creations have been said to be stone to start with, and the earthen even had the potential to be initially biological. The air and stone dragons are still a mystery to me.

Really, i don't know. If that as the case, this new lore will be a retcon. :/

So are you saying that the titans found the native, fleshy protodragons, then based their stone dragon prototypes off of them, THEN those dragons became fleshy?

If that were the case, and considering just how long lived dragons are, I have a feeling they'd have told us about the curse of flesh earlier if it were. Alextrasza would've said something like "Yeah, I used to be made of rock, what of it?"

Of all people, Omacron, I expected you to take the cue and make the requisite "flesh dragon" joke.

Tbh I am just trying to understand these elemental type dragons, and figure out how they all fit together. I also just found it odd that they would use a flesh basis for their aspects....but meh tbh I am really not sure.

The Lore Keeper of Norgannon in Uldaman says that the earthen are a modification of the standard subterranean being matrix. The "standard" matrix used on other worlds is a standard biomass, which means biological, like living flesh.
