So if you have intercourse with someone whose assigned sex at birth was female, you in general don't have to worry about "her" getting pregnant, because a person's sex is a spectrum anyway and who's to say that you are actually sexually a male or that "she's" actually sexually a female.

No, that's not what you said. It's not what those articles said. But for me, it puts the concepts of "spectrum" and "assigned at birth" into the more realistic backdrop.
