While it is a game, I'll post it here since its from the franchise, Fate/Grand Order entered its second chapter and it looks fucking bonkers. They're expanding on the Foreigner class and they're definitely all like eldritch old god entities it seems, and we're dealing with aliens and maybe even going into the Notes time period of the far, far, far future at one point, as well as the Era of the Gods in the distant past.

I am beyond excite.

edit: And Fate/Extra Last Encore will apparently be an original story, so I'm very curious about its direction (though still salty about no Tamamo)

Yea it's kinda annoying having Netflix and Amazon in the anime business given both have their issues. Netflix is actually simulcasting Violet Evergarden which is a first for them but it's simulcasting in every Western country except the US. Who'd have thought that anime becoming more popular in the west and being picked up by other big names would mean the return of fansubbing and pirating.

Still, as annoyed as I am, I rank Netflix above Amazon. The delay is annoying but at least you don't have to pay two subs just to get shows (and Sentai may be ditching Amazon too I hear, since several of the exclusives Amazon had recently are now on Sentai's HiDive thing).

While I love ufotable's fighting animation, I'll happily take this.

...still would like to see Last Episode animated at some point though. I fucking love that ending.

I'm holding out hope that it'll be interesting since its apparently going differently than Extra, and I mean, Tamamo is pretty damn popular herself so she's gotta show, and Emiya shows too so...who the fuck knows really?

edit: Hadn't watched Last Encore's PV until today actually and HOLY SHIT is that Shaft as FUCK.

But hopefully they'll bring him in with the female Hakuno, since I think her appearing in some way is already confirmed. At least I'll have Gawain and Robin.

Yeah it was a bit weird to me too, which is strange as I'm pretty used to Wada Arco's drawing of Extra-Rin, but seeing her animated and all is odd.

So happy to hear that, though I'm also not that surprised by it.

Some of Sentai's Amazon exclusives suddenly showed up on their HiDive service, leading many to assume that a contract had expired and Sentai was ditching Amazon.

I'd love to see the numbers for how many subscribers they had on Anime Strike. I have a feeling not many.

Half of them so far have. Grancrest Senki was Friday, Kokkoku on Sunday, Overlord yesterday and Violet Evergarden today. People will have to sail the high seas for Violet Evergarden though since Netflix decided that the US can't handle simulcasts with the rest of the world.

There's usually game places set up though you can imagine the sort of games they lean toward (and fighting games). There may be some panels you could be interested in, they are sometimes non-anime stuff too.

Part of it may have been that the Uprising arc felt like it dragged a bit when it's a monthly manga. That's partly why I'm looking forward to it being animated this year since having it come much quicker will probably make the arc more enjoyable.

Also means we'll get this awesome fight animated.

I've never really understood why people freeze in poses like that. If they're fighting to kill, they should follow through. Why should they expect the other guy to check his blow?
