Default Your guess for "MoP final boss"

Quote:
There are definitely villians in Mists of Pandaria. We just didn't want to put one on the "box cover" so to speak (we don't know what the box looks like yet of course). You have seen some of them, like the mogu. We know who the final boss is. Seriously. It's just too epic to share. Yet.
My guess is Sylvanas Windrunner.

Edit: the title was incorrect.

Too much plot armor, and killing her wouldn't actually accomplish much.

Some slightly random guesses:

A faction leader is in the front running. I don't know which, but one of them.

The Largest Panda Ever. Period. He was great.

Pandaria itself is a giant turtle-like Old God, chained to the ocean floor by the titans.

Chen Stormstout. He is like the only character that we know of there.

A beer/brew elemental lord.

A Sha with some cool twist.

I dunno... they hardly gave us any lore.

Agreed. Heres the thing, the orcs, unlike the forsaken, have been held between two ideals, one of violence and one of kind of savage nobility, so the balance between them is set with Thrall and Garrosh.
The forsaken however have nothing else to weigh themselves up with, they only have Sylvanas. and as it stands, given how the forsaken are as a people, sylvanas is the perfect leader

Footman

I don't think Sylvanas will be killed off, not until the Forsaken story stops being Sylvanas's story.

Who could possibly be too epic to reveal?

Sylvanas is a predictably evil character. And she's not dying at the hands of a Pandaren army.

Garrosh...no, I don't feel that he would be 'epic,' as such.

The crazed, laughing mad part of my brain that spends most of the day curled up in a corner, rocking back and forth, desperately wants it to be the Largest Panda Ever.

Azshara I do not see fitting the story.

I feel it must have something to do with the Sha. The spirits of pure malice that we awaken with our conflict. But how? A faction leader perhaps. Perhaps the one none of us would expect. Perhaps...GELBIN MEKKATORQUE?????

I think it should be a corrupted Thrall, driven mad by the Old Gods' whispering about his impotence in stopping the Fourth War. But I doubt it.

I'll cry if it's Chen. I love that guy.

Garrosh gets consumed by Sha and goes batshit crazy and uses everything he can to take over the world for the Horde.

Sha possessed Garrosh.

I could see Thrall trying to help Garrosh remove the Sha within himself only for Varian to kill him. It's possible something like that could allow the faction war to come to the front even with Thrall as the Warchief?

Wait, there's a Forsaken story?

Yeah, didn't you hear? It's the Alliance campaigns in Warcraft 2 and 3.

Also, herp derp.

Lady Gaga would fit as the leader of the Sha.

Come to think of it, wouldn't any Forsaken who sets foot in Pandaria immediately be swarmed by Sha?

If one adheres to the belief that their 'vital' processes are maintained solely through the burning hatred of the Lich King's residual magic, yes.

If even fojar thinks that it won't be Sylvanas, the chances of it happening are bleak.
I really don't like the lack of a real enemy in this expansion, sure there doesn't have to be a big baddie on the cover but right now there is really little to expect. Sure, the main focus is on fighting the other faction, but how exactly are you going to put that in dungeons and raids?

I'm thinking more along the lines that it's been confirmed that for Forsaken who don't regularly wield the Light, positive emotions are extraordinarily rare. They're basically big balls of anger and hate, and that should be major Sha-bait.

Sees the thread title has Sylvanas in it.

Expects it to reach 200 pages by tomorrow.

They've introduced at least 3 potential enemy races/factions so far. That's quite a bit of content right there, not counting what they might have not even revealed yet. Keep in mind this expac was JUST announced. There's still a heapload of time left for us to discover more adversaries.

I've heard people complain, not too long ago, that too many of our villains are these tactless buffoons who go around smashing things and yelling. I've heard people calling for more subtlety. And I, for one, am intrigued by the lack of distinct Big Bad this time around.

It lets us wonder.

That's putting it lightly.

And I agree 100% mustrum. And tons of the same people who would have said that same thing 2 weeks ago are now complaining about the lack of a forefront villain.

Lolhumanity.

Maybe the fact they're undead prevents the Sha from consuming them?

#onthespotplotholefixes

Also, some Forsaken aren't angry as much as they're just numb and don't feel at all.
