Default Hillsbrad - No Humans allowed... anymore

http://www.wowwiki.com/Quest:Human_Infestation

Was a bit tricky to find, but during the last ours somebody at WoW Wiki updated what is already avaiable of the questline.

It was already discussed in the Beta Thread, but here is the continuiation.

- Stillwater is a complete nutjob and mistakend Johny Awesome for a girl
- Johnny's horse got killed
- We free Master Apothecary Lydon (they guy who got dragged away in the letter) and help him to bring Stillwater to justice. There still seems to be hope for the forsaken.
- Helcular is a questgiver at Southshore.

Our dark rangers search the fields for worgen terrorists. These worgen have been sent out by their dark masters to hunt and kill us. And though a dark ranger is a formidable combatant, the worgen often attack in packs, which can overwhelm even a dark ranger.
I really hate that description of the Worgen as given by a Forsaken in those quests. They're terrorists because their town got plague-nuked, then they got infected with the Worgen curse, other survivors get experimented upon and put into labour camps and because they retaliate ... they're terrorists?

Reading right now, pretty cool.

Hillsbrad is turning into an epic zone, imo.

by the terms of the Forsaken, they are, much like Iraqi Insurgents to Americans are "terrorists", that is just part of the term now.

The bear gods are cruel masters. They will continue to populate this world with bears until the end of days. It is our right as civilized people to make use of this nuisance - for the betterment of us all!

I lol'd .

The thing that bugs me is that there hasn't really been much stuff released that paints the Alliance in an epic light, but I guess that is a topic for another thread. Johnny Awesome is an incredibly stupid character that is only going to further cement the ability for Blood Elven 'roleplayers' to act like that on an RP realm and claim it is 'canon lore'. Rage.

It's all a matter of perspective.

Do you honestly expect that the Forsaken would call them freedom fighters? They are considered terrorists because the "Gilnean insurgents" use terrorist-like guerrilla tactics against the Forsaken. Terrorism is not defined by the reasons for their actions but by the methods they use in their actions.

Warden Stillwater says: Lydon!? Alive?
Warden Stillwater says: Now I know where your allegiances lie, <name>!
Warden Stillwater says: And you, Jenny? I thought we had a connection. You've broken my heart for the last time.
Master Apothecary Lydon says: Warden Stillwater, you are deranged and a threat to our way of life. By authority of the Dark Lady herself, I hereby impose upon you the harshest penalty under Forsaken law - true death.

btw Jenny=Johnny Awesome......

I dunno. I think in the case of one Mr./Ms. Awesome, Stillwater is just...confused.

Now, planting humans like a potato, that's insane.

Too bad he didn't try to breed humans like animals in the zoo.

That could work out

Oh man, thinking about it brought up some unpleasant imagery. H. R. Giger-like stuff. That man's art is so creepy.

Right up the Forsaken's alley, really.

Anyway, looking through the quests, it is interesting to see that they're still curious about turning the Worgen. It'll be interesting to see how that turns out. I'm sure they'll figure out something.

You know who else had an opinion about breeding humans like animals?

Exactly, one man's freedom fighters are another man's terrorists. Nice to see WoW keeping that in perspective, though I wonder how many people playing the game would actually take that example and apply it in the real world?

I bet the British thought George Washington was an honorable man leading a group of men fighting for a just cause

Hmm... when they say they "released light slimes" into the area, do you think that means the forsaken are starting to use oozes in their military?

Spiders, oozes, abominations, such fun

Like we didn't have enough with Putricide's toys, now we get to fight oozing abominations made of spiders!

Or something like that.
