The others will show up more often in later episodes. You'll even get to meet two new Team 7 members who're pretty great.

That's a relief. As Ive said, Naruto is at its best when it's about the group. It doesn't feel as good when it's just about Naruto and Sakura. The Land of Waves was easily the worst part of the original show. Though, it was the beginning, so I guess it might just be that it's also just the beginning of Shippuden that sucks.

Still, I can't help but feel the timeskip was a horrible idea.

I figure everyone in the country (Japan? Whatever) must at least know someone who knows someone who was brutally murdered in a monster or supervillain attack. We're talking men, women, children, families, beloved friends. People with hopes and private aspirations, with parents and children, with plans for the weekend, just looking forward to spending more time with those they love.

What would have happened if Saitama hadn't shown up when that virus guy reached out for the little girl? Where were her parents? And how often has the same scene been played, exactly the same, except for the fact that One Punch Man never passed by?

This world is cursed. It's incredible that so much of the population still knows how to smile.

Yeah it's actually pretty horrifying, but that's human durability in action

My Hero Academia manga: Fatgum is utterly based, he's quickly becoming one of my favourite heroes. Rappa is also incredibly fun, his love for a good fight is expressed so well: he's so sad when Fatgum looks like he might lose soon, pissed off when his buddy interferes and super happy when Kirishima manages to stand up to him.

Speaking of which, I like how this fight played out. Kirishima might be strong, but he's still just a high school kid following a Pro into a fight against seasoned criminals. Makes sense that he's hopelessly outclassed and more of a burden than a help, and even though he gets fucked up so badly he still jumps in and helps Fatgum.

Waiting for Fate/Apocrypha subs is gonna suck. Netflix has the rights to it so I'm sure there won't be anything until the show's done airing in Japan.

It'll be on the high seas just like LWA. Because Netflix helped fund it it'll also be 24 episodes.

Also a new preview of Fate/stay night Heavens Feel

Ever since Netflix and Amazon horned in on things, its gotten sucky.

Netflix doesn't care to release it until like 6 months later in a batch (its called simulcast, fuckers) and Amazon has the gall to ask for you to subscribe twice just to see (once for amazon prime, and then another for their anime service).

I haven't used fansubs in years, but I'm about to go sail the high seas again.

Yea unless Netflix and Amazon change the way they do things we're going to see piracy on the rise again.

Fansubs do a better job than companies who are actually paid to sub the series, so yeah. Until they start doing their job better than someone who does it for free and out of love, fuck them.

And not only do they release faster, they adapt jokes better (because they're actual fans), and they also use different colors and fonts for each character.

Almost done with Cowboy Bebop.

Should I attempt to binge Monster next or Ergo Proxy?

My vote goes to Monster, though Ergo Proxy isn't bad.

It's a double sided coin. On one hand anime becoming popular in the west means western companies are funding the anime. Anime is a bubble right now and is on the verge of collapse due to how the Japanese work themselves to death and how terrible many studio's pay so western companies putting more money into the market means your few good studios such as Trigger can continue to pay their workers a fair wage. Of course it also means that companies like Netflix and Amazon are going to have to figure out that they need to release things differently. Of course many people like me have a Netflix sub anyway so I'm paying them regardless.

Apparently UTW came out of retirement to sub Apocrypha. Fitting.

Generally Crunchyroll's been pretty fast, and I honestly do like no longer having to worry about finding a torrent and worrying about codecs and the like. Though speaking of, is there still a bundle of codecs out there like there used to be?

Speaking of western companies funding anime, Toonami just uploaded the trailer for FLCL 2 & 3 (Facebook link at present, not on youtube yet to my knowledge).

Dunno how necessary FLCL 2 & 3 are, I felt the original was enough, but at least the Pillows are back and they have the same character designer.

That was a really pleasant surprise yeah.

Aniplex is showing the first episode tomorrow at AX so hopefully there's an announcement for official release then too, but like I said I'm not expecting it until it's done airing in Japan.

He appointed Gohan team leader at the tournament of power, and Gohan comes up with a teamwork strategy.. And within the first minute Goku (and several others) run off and in Goku's case nearly gets thrown out of the ring.
