I am away.

It's kinda funny how people think everything suddenly quieted down as soon as international media stopped talking about it.

Not to Kyiv, we've relocated further West to Vinnytsia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donets...nal_University

We're doing quite well, expanding our departments and the infrastructure, some people joked that soon we'd overtake all buildings in the city with our divisions, except for getting the actual student campus, hahah.

Too well, in fact, since we're getting homesick, but the level of progress we've achieved here is not something we'd like to abandon. If things ever get better, there will surely be a filial in Vinytsia, and we are already negotiating one further west, in Khmelnytsky.

Yeah, all I've heard about were 2-3 flare ups. Going from that it is not strange many would assume so. Though it does show the tremendous power of mass media. They can easily shape public perception and direct ire by choosing what to show and what not to. As something of a middle man in world affairs I can probably see this best, how effortlessly people are lead by their nose, it is very frightening.

I don't like having to tell you this, but could any further posts continuing this conversation be made in another thread? I know that most of us are glad to hear from Kir again, but the R&R should stay on-topic.

I'd like to make a small petition. Rather than delete things deemed unnecessary chit chat in the R&R thread, why not move those posts to a more relevant place? Maybe just dump them in the Abyssal Spam thread or if the Mod is feeling diligent send them to a more specific thread.

My convo with Kir was not terribly spammy and the guy just got back from a long absence. And now that it is deleted it seems like I never replied to him which makes me look rude.

So please consider moving such conversations in the future rather than deleting them. If it's possible to move single posts, I know we can move threads. Also maybe even move the actual conversation if it was only soft deleted.

That's not a bad idea. Give me five humorous themes for the name of the thread (e.g. clown college).

This move is fine. We can move talks to a thread that suits the talk. Kir's welcome back to this thread works. A political discussion to one of the political threads work. Total spam to the spam thread and so on.

I'm back. In a year, life got worse. Dad turned into a worse abusive alcoholic and it led to an assault by contact against me. Part-time job keeps stealing hours from me.

Not fun.

I can't say I've been where you've been, but I do know the whole oblivion feel. It's almost hedonistic in how easy it would be to wrap yourself in it. But...it's not a warm, happy nothingness, so fuck it and fuck the things that make you want it.

Any shot at a new job/education/certification to get out of the situation?

I'd poop out the "must be the wind" joke but I feel it's no longer a refreshing breeze.

Welcome back, hope you stick around.

We all need to do the wageslave route at some point or another in our lives. With any luck, you can make it to a point where you aren't just scraping by paycheck to paycheck.

But if you enjoy what you're doing, it ain't so bad.

It's just a long shift (12 hours) and a long drive (1 hour there, 1 hour back). Pay is pretty good. Benefits are worth killing for.

Oof. Never had a combined work and transit time quite that bad. One of my first gigs was a stint in retail where I'd occasionally work 12 hours days, 6 days a week, but that was practically on my doorstep.

Hi everyone! I'm newbie here . I'm quite a gamer myself and currently I'm still playing games, especially RPG.
I used to play WoW since WotLK until Cataclysm, then I had to stop due to my college study. And so recently I'm considering getting back to the game especially when the Legion has come for months now (hope I'm still be able to return).
Currently I'm working on a RPG maker game project with my friends. I work on characters design and story so I think it's better to learn more ideas from people around. And so I hope to learn and share experience with you guys. Thanks!

Welcome, Antonio. I hope you enjoy your stay.

If you don't mind my asking, how'd you hear about Scrolls of Lore?

Follow-up question. Trolls: Yay or Nay?

I remember that I'm searching for Warcraft lore, and then I accidentally found this forum. I join mostly due to curious, but then I think since I need to write a story, discussing should be a great help.

If I understand your 2nd question correctly then Nay
