And while defector reports can be grueling I am not inclined to believe in this 100% after I've read what kind of nonsense was sold by the US media and bought by the people about Serbia in the 90s.
It is likely we will only know the truth when we finally witness the aftermath, when it is all over.
Yeah, sometimes the reports seem just too unlikely to be true. Seems more like a tactic to make us all regard it as the core of the new "evil axis".

But I'm no Eliphas and ain't going to defend the goddamn North Korea.

Dude, they should've made this more badass orchestral version of "Pop goes the Weasel" their anthem instead of their current one.

Remember that coup in South Sudan that the government said they already "crushed"?

Yeah... There were more clashes and 60 soldiers died.

But their president still wears a cowboy hat.

Which already inclines me to support the failed coup.

..Dos South Sudan do anything besides exist and be poor due to a shitty thought process that independence will lead to prosperity? That South Sudan won't be like Normal Sudan?

We really don't know what's happening and most of what has been circulating is trash.

I'm somewhat worried due to their language from the actual post-trial (pay attention to it, specific phrases) and it makes me slightly worried of the collapse of a nuclear power.

But, again, several things could happen. Maybe the miltarism may finally be pushed back and DPRK can focus on industrialization for once since the 1970s/80s.

Or Market-reforms that lead to collapse and shittery.

time will only tell. His Uncle was a key partner in negotiations with the Chinese, and it makes no sense for 'consolidating power' since he wasn't the President nor the Primer. He wasn't, as I recall, extremely high up in the military command either. Just extremely influential and old.

But we also don't know if he did any nasty business with fraud, so it's both interesting and somewhat worrying.

(Plus it's interesting most people defect due to economic pressures out of the sanctions and lovely business and more than half still admire those Kims. We scarcely put any resources into seeing how the DPRK functions s a political entity, simply classifying it as a Kim-show.)

Consider The Source: North Korea Says It's No. 2 In Happiness

And everyone knows if you disagree with researchers you hate science and aren't as educated as people that agree with them.

There's a thing called questionable sources.

The Koreans would probably think twice before choosing "no" in that poll.

It's interesting that Kir puts forth this absolute statement that nobody can test (and indeed from research going into the escapees from North Korea, seems to be false) in order to show a nice-little-cutesy caricature of the situation.

How adorable.

You're welcome, but thank GTA San Andreas (the original), it is where I lifted the "crotchety mofo" line from.

Things are getting really "fun" in the Ukraine.

First up: President Viktor Yanukovych threatens to shut down the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church if it continues to provide church services to the protestors.

http://news.yahoo.com/ukraine-warns-...VSNWoAPDzQtDMD

Second up: The Ukrainian Parliment passes a law to ban the anti-gov't protests.

http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/...6?feedType=RSS

Lastly: They got into a fight over the law and there was blood.
