Default Heroes of Solcu

So, here I was, writing in the Solcu thread about two Aldash characters, when I though about how I could give a new breath to this project. Then, I realized than I had written about the two Aldash because it was a good break after having wrote so much about the Kaaradi, some part of the Thama history and a little part of the Aldash page.

And I think that I'm not the only one in this case, so, here's my idea : everyone participating in the Solcu project should write something concerning two characters of one species, as a mean to flesh out the world by giving it great figures and helping us to ease the weigh of such an ambitious project.

So, once again :

Great Matriarch Alsunnia :

Among the Aldash, Alsunnia is a living legend. She was born in slavery, owned by a wealthy inhabitant of Rorolark itself, one hundred years before the Cataclysm, yet, even before the Great escape, she created a secret community of Aldash slaves whose goal was to create chaos in the Goblin Empire as a mean to freed her sisters and brothers Aldash. Probably because of her plans, she managed to not only survive but lead her revolt when the Cataclysm stroke, while thousands of other Aldash died in the destruction of the capital.

Leading her ragtag group of survivors, she created the Alsunnil Tribe, a social organization which has been emulated since this time by all the surviving free Aldash, who created their own tribes. She claimed for herself the title of Matriarch and assured the continuity of the social division inherited by the sexual dimorphism of the Aldash when she claimed that the females would be the warriors, huntress, priestess of the ancestors and heads of families, while the males would be messengers, diplomats, inventors and magicians. Such was the renown of Alsunnia that soon, all the free Aldash gathered around her, willingly or by force.

Fifty years before, she took the title of Great Matriarch of the Aldash, and she herself as the leader of all her people. Her goal is to create a true nation of the Aldash, powerful enough to be respected and feared even by their former masters, the Goblins. Such a task demand allies, and Alsunnia has entered secret negotiations with both Täjara and the Wind elves. She has spies in every tribe of the Aldash and she believe that, if she keep playing her game with patience, she will succeed in less than two centuries, which would leaving her with a century of life to secure her possible success.

However, a certain albinos could speed the success of her plans by at least a century.

Rasan the Technomage :

While young for an Aldash, Rasan have already a past worthy of legends. Born albinos and thus weaker than any male in his the Fatimil Tribe, he owed his life to Matriarch Fatimal who refused to see the cub left to his death in the desert, for she wished to strengthen the tribe, even with a weakling such as Rasan. Fatimal was proven right in her choice when, at the age of six, and already a great deal of humiliation behind him, Rasan used a powerful spells unknown by other Aldash, proving his incredibly huge and untamed talent in the field of magic : it seems that, while is body was weaker than other Aldash, Rasan's eyes were better to spot the flux of magic, but also the electromagnetic field of both living things and objects.

While studying magic with the greatest wizard of his tribe, Rasan devoted himself to engineering, proving incredibly able with his hands. At the age of twelve, using a wind elven rifle, he created the Aldash Rifle, a weapon fitted for the males Aldash, thus helping greatly his tribe and then all the Aldash by improving their technological level. At the age of fifteen, he convinced Matriarch Fatimal to sell the help of her tribe to Ashtari adventurers against knowledge of all sorts, from magic to history and alchemy.

Rasan is today 46 years old and he is one of the very few people in the world able to create rough technomagi, thanks to his talent, his time wandering among the ruins doting the Idriyan desert , and the knowledge granted by adventurers to sell the help of his tribe. He is becoming more famous every year, and it won't be long before some important Täjaran or Wind Elf will try to use him to bolster the position of their respective nation.

However, they'll probably be sorely disappointed for, just like Great Matriarch Alsunnia, Rasan seek to create a powerful Aldash nation, able to stand for its freedom against any who would dare to attack them; and with his court of apprentices from every tribe diffusing his knowledge among the Aldash, he could very well succeed. As such, he attracted the watchful gaze of Alsunnia, who sent on of her great-grand-sons, Rulan as an apprentice for the Technomage, and one of her grand-daughter, Alfulia, as a "bodyguard" who sometimes seems to wish to guard Rasan even more closely.

Tomorrow : Urtraom, High Champion of the Vara'Gol and Kaaral Kor nal Askerok Kiaris

Okay then, mr Korath.

I present to you two of the last millenium's most famous Wind elves:

Archduke Ashis Blutgauze:
First of his name and dynasty. The lord of the small Blutgauze family of Lichtenland. Became renown during the last stages of the Little Wars as a brave and strong fighter as well as a shrewd diplomat, getting many of the nobles of Lichtenland and other duchies to owe him favours. Defeated the famous Adelais Sturmagon of Stirhaven in a duel and made him his most trusted general.
Secretly courted the young Alana Arlicht, the only heir of Duke Arlicht. When the duke died the nobles of Lichtenland refused to acknowledge his daughter as duchess, pointing to her weak health as reason for their refusal, that the Little Wars demanded a strong and martial duke. The noble families of Lichtland argued over who would become the next duke when Ashis stepped forward as candidate, claiming Alana as his lifemate thus ending the argument of who'd become the duke. That he had acquired the support of many of the nobles over the last decade played a part in his quick acceptance as duke.
He honoured the Arlichts by decreeing that any descendant of him and Alana would be Arlicht in both blood and spirit. The Arlichts had been dukes of Lichtland for almost 3 millennium and had lead the Lichtzeigter tribe since the Great Schism.
He ordered a suit of armor fiting a duke of dukes, dyed in the colours of the Arlichts. On his brow lay the crown of the Blutgauzes and around his neck hung the Bloodruby, said to have been in their possession since before the fall of the fabled ancient capital.
He wielded the Greatsword of Magnis, the sword of Karl Arlicht the Valkyri.
Through a series of swift battles and political moves he manages to tie the other dukes to himself and then ended the Little Wars, becoming crowned as the first Archduke of a unified Windland.
His reign would be short as the Hochdorf Incident happened. Undead monstrosities poured forth from under Hochdorf after a new mineshaft had broken through the walls of an ancient tunnel that lead deep into the Forgotten Depths, a hellish place of darkness and death.
Hundreds of thousands perished as the hordes spread out over Steilenland. Ashis gathered the armies of the neighbouring duchies and lead a counterattack. They succeeded in pushing back the hordes to Hochdorf and into the deep mines, closing hole. Ashis Blutgauze fell during the final push into Hochdorf, he and his Karoliner guard surrounded and slain by the undead hordes. The corpses of the undead were piled higher than the tallest elf when Adelais found his lord, leaning on his greatsword which were plunged into the earth as if he only took a short rest.

Phineus Eickmann the Explorer:
World famous explorer who travelled all of Solcu, above and below ground.
A man of nobility, uncle of the current duke of Flachenland. A prodigy at magic who forsook his birthright and devoted his entire life to travel over all of Solcu and write down the history of the world.
He died 300 years prior to the current date. He didn't become world known until after his death as his books spread to all corners of Solcu. With time his adventures and exploits have become legends, inspiring many an elf or members of other races to go out into the world to explore and live a life as adventurers, often to their deaths.
He is the childhood hero of Vandenar Stahlschmidt. Without those books he would've never gone on his great expedition to Jebrak, he would've never discovered the Dracon, forging an alliance and friendship which has lasted for 200 years.
Phineus was a passionated man in his youth but when he lost his lifepartner to a magical accident he became cold and withdrawn. A man who carefully chooses his words and his actions but as with anything bottled up it'll burst out of it's confinements when push comes to shove. He's a terror then, without restraint, a force of destruction, taking out decades of grief and regret on that which has infuriated him.
Much of his adventures below ground he spent with the young Aingeleen warrior named Lukas, their exploits and discoveries immortalised in the great series of novels known as: Phineus and Lukas, Journey into Darkness.

Very interesting. However, I must say that you've made a little mistake concerning the Realm of Terror (which isn't a Solcu location but the Realm of the Gods from Below) : it isn't linked to undeads but to Those from Below, even if there is armies of undeads in the Underworld. Otherwise, it is wonderful !

Warning : the following ages are based on the Kaaradi year, which is shorter than the Surface Year (roughly eleven months instead of twelve).

Urtraom, High Champion of the Vara'Gol :

Urtraom Vara'Gol was born Urtraom Skardrus, the third child of poor Kaaradi in the Gathering of Skrul'arsu, under the jurisdiction of Galagrön; however, even at his birth, he was bigger than most of the newborn Kaaradi; his skin tone -almost black- was also extremely unusual. Since his family was poor, his Birthslaves were both Ath, one from the Keepers of the Home (Ulrago) and another from the Collectors (Shalniul), who are still with him in the present day.

At the age of ten, Urtraom Skardrus submitted itself to the ritual of the Choice, where he gave his soul to bear the Sigil of the Bloody Crone, showing his devotion to the most powerful Monster-God, Koraal, the Queen of Fury, a fitting choice for a child who was already stronger than most of the warriors from his Gathering. At the age of thirteen, he became famous in all the jurisdiction of Galagrön when he participated in a attack against a nest of Those from below where he killed six of those monsters alone, thus proving his strength.

During ten years, the name of Urtraom Skardrus became more and more famous until he turned 23 years old. At this time, nal Lukia Liruko died in a battle against the Asha, and thus, a new "nal" had to be chosen in a great tournament in Galagrön, after the mourning for her death. The title of "nal", a tradition in the Galagrön jurisdiction, which is also recognized in the other parts of Kaarad, is granted only to the greatest warrior from this part of Kaarad, even if travelers from Hartog and Téloa aren't uncommon during such tournaments.

The Claiming of nal, as the tournament is known is one of the most difficult task that a Kaaradi can face, for he must defeat his enemies without the use of poisons and without killing them. Urtraom Skardrus claimed that he would either become nal Urtraom or enter the Vara'Gol. After three weeks of battle, Urtraom Skardrus faced Askerok Kiaris in their last battle. While the fight lasted long, it was only because Urtraom refused to give up until he couldn't move anymore, for Askerok was too strong for him.

After his defeat at the hands of nal Askerok Kiaris, Urtraom entered the Vara'Gol, as he had said he would do, thus becoming Urtraom Vara'Gol. There, he discovered a life of duties even more strict than in the rest of Kaarad, but his determination and talent allowed him to become High Keepers of the Vara'Gol, the second highest grade among the Nadra Vara'Gol, at the age of thirty-two. Finally, when the previous High Champion died fighting against Those from Below, Urtraom was elected by his brothers and sisters to the position of High Champion at the age of forty.

Kaaral Kor nal Askerok* Kiaris :

The actual Kaaral of Kaarad, and the first Kiaris on this throne since more than six thousand years, Kor nal Askerok Kiaris is probably one of the most important figures of the known Underworld, whose blood carry the greatness of his distant ancestor, Kor ra Ath.

Born Askerok Kiaris, son of Kor Askoruk Kiaris and Lurika Irksa, a niece of the then ruler of Téloa, Lialak shal Irksa, the future Kaaral was gifted by two very rare Birthslaves, a male Deathsinger (Andria) and a female Ogre (Olsgra) from the would be Steelgrinder Bloodline. In the court of his father, he was trained since his youngest age to be both a skilled warrior, a tactical master and a skilful intriguing one and politician. His genuine interest in history of not only the Kaaradi, but also the Asha, and the people of the Overworld allowed him to understand much more than its fellow Kaaradi the other species, even he still share the arrogance, cruelty and viciousness common to his people.

At the age of ten, during his Choice, he surprised every participants by appearing with his head shave except for an one inch large strip of hear from his forefront to the base of his neck, and when he claimed that he had Chosen Zaekus, He who Sleep. It was a bold choice, for it was said that the souls of Zaekus' servants where destined to a just afterlife : if the servant had brought justice and hope to the world, he would serve Zaekus in his Realm. If not, his soul would be reduced to pure energy, and then used by the God to fuel his awakening and thus reduced to nothingness. Usually, the servants of Zaekus would Dedicate to their God quickly, but it wasn't the goal of Askerok.

At the age of twenty two, he became nal Askerok when he defeated Urtraom Skardrus for this title; at what at that time that his father revealed to him the secret goal that he had in mind : put an end to the useless war with the Asha, prevent more tensions with the dwarves and seek alliances with the surface dwellers to defeat the Gods from Below and their slaves once and for all. It was to this end that Kor Askoruk Kiaris had secretly opened talk with the Urshari in both Täjara and the Windlands and sold assassins to the Ogre Commonwealth. The young nal Askerok was more than happy to help his father plans to come to fruition. Alas, fate almost destroyed those plans.

At the age of twenty four, Kor nal Askerok Kiaris became the Head of the Kiaris Family when a Brood Mother of Those from Below killed his father. While the young Kaaradi managed an exploit worthy of legend, when he slain the abomination alone and without poison, he felt that he wasn't ready to succeed where even his wise father had failed. Yet, he quickly understood that he had to be ready when less than three months after his father's death, Kaaral Urganosh ssla Turakas died in ambush of Undeads while he travelled to Hartog.

The son of Lurika Irksa managed, thanks to both his family ties in Hartog and Téloa, to become known has Kaaral Kor nal Askerok Kiaris, and he immediately begun is campaign to promote his goal among his subjects. He believed that the war with the Asha was an hindrance and possibly a scheme made by cultists of Those from Below to divert the Kaaradi of their sacred purpose. He managed to convince most of the population and, at the age of thirty-four, he succeeded in what he felt was but a first step in his plan : he obtained a cease-fire with the Asha.

To tell here how he managed such a feat would be too long, but it must be known that off now, Kor nal Askerok seek to find a mate to perpetuate his blood, and wish to use his connection with the Urshari and the Aingeleen to get the help of both the Wind Elves and Täjara in his war against Those from Below.

*Pronounced Ashkerok

Heh okay, I can try will just do one.

Chief Librarian Arkansos Sezwel
Arkansos Sezwell is a male Ice Goblin from the Tarkanciel's Refuge. His bloodline contains blood of the 5th, 8th and 12th children of the queen. For a 75 years old moblin he looks like he is 20 and unlike many other ice goblins he is know to shave his beard. On his face lies a burn flame-shaped mark going from his chin all the way to his eyebrow. He wears the traditional garbs of an cold mage and wields a staff made of wood from the Tarkanciel's Tree with ice from the purest of glaciers. He is known to be brave, but always tormented by his past failures, and like the rest of the nation he follows closely the doctrines of solitude of their Hermit God.

Since Arkansos' infancy he was always a bit obsessed with Alchemy and spent many years in the solitude of his home mixing ingredients that he found while harvesting, in order to find new solutions to the problems that the Refuge faces. However when he reached adulthood, alchemical experiences had not given him any groundbreaking results, he only had a burn scar in his face from an alchemy accident and vast array of experience in alchemy. His neighbours expected of him to continue trough adulthood as a Glacial Harvester specialized in Alchemy. They were wrong.

In the last year before entering adulthood he had given up on alchemy and instead grew enamoured with a display of magic from a cold mage, and when he turned 15 years old, he became an cold mage apprentice in the royal palace. He eventually became the master caster of the Snow discipline, after spending ten years clearing the weather for fishing boats, creating snow golems and embezzling the Refuge with his magic.

But Arkansos was always a moblin that lived in constant discontent with his own achievements and his failure in Alchemy always tormented him. He finally found the breakthrough that he always wanted on a fishing ship. He was on a fishing boat when it crashed into a glacier and he and a small group of fishermen were forced to survive for many days on what they had fished and when that ran out of that, the flesh of those that didn't survive. While waiting for rescue he observe how flesh naturally interacted with the cold and how different such interaction was when the waters from the glacier were charged with his magic.

After he was rescued and arrived home he started researching old books of alchemy and the magic books in Royal Library and how both interacted with living beings and using the magic hidden under the glacial water. Within one year he wrote many books that revolutionized the Refuge life and created an entire new industry for glacial water. Some of these book were How to Heal trough Cold Magic and 739 magical uses for glacial water, with his most famous discovery being a spell that can make a person younger. For this the newly crowned Frost Princess granted him the right to have more children than it was allowed by law and promoted him to Chief Librarian, the highest position of a Cold mage can have as the personal advisor on magic of the Princess.

Done any opinions?

I love your character, Ashendant : both funny and yet perfectly fitting hiss society. Wonderful !

Anyway, back on topic

Kor ra Ath, Fury of the People :

Among all the great heroes who appeared among the Kaaradi, Kor ra Ath stand apart for two reasons : was born an Ath, and he led his people to the Kaarad, thus becoming the First Kaaradi.

Kor ra Ath was born during the Age of Myths, if the Kaaradi's legends are to be believed (and after some corrections thanks to the Kun'dra and their great knowledge of this era) roughly a thousand years before the end of this mythical Age. At this time, the numerous tribes of the Ath were waging a war of survival against the human tribes on the continent which would be known as Täjara. The reasons behind this war are all but lost in time, but it is probable that the humans were disgusted by the Ath physical features, which where a combination of both humans and non-humans (such as their eight canines, almost fangs, sharp ears and smaller size). Anyway, the various human tribes where fighting to destroy the Ath, repelling them near the mountains in the east of the continent.

When Kor was born, it is said that his cries weren't of pain, as other newborns, but of fury, hence his surname (Kor meant Fury in atha). Since he quickly demonstrated a far greater strength and stamina than any other child among the Ath, he was given the full name of Kor ra Ath (Fury of the People) and at the age of ten, he was leading his tribe against the humans, killing their warriors and enslaving their children. He also wrestled against the leaders of the other tribes of Ath, and at the age of sixteen, two third of the tribes were under his command.

Then, while the earth was shaking and the world changed, Kor ra Ath was plagued by dreams and nightmare where the Dragon God (today called Dura'Turakas by the Kaaradi) warned him of an incoming danger from below the earth. He then prepared his people, even if the tribes who escaped his authority believed that he was insane when he talked about Those from Below and their will to consume the world. Sadly, Kor ra Ath was proven right when the aberrations launched a massive invasion of the surface after their birth during the Corruption of the Ashendants.

Kor ra Ath, following the urging of the Dragon God then led his people into the Underworld, in the newly formed Kaarad, where he discovered the four Monster-Gods which are older than the Kaaradi and the Records of the Ashendants. He then pledged loyalty to the Gods and swore that he and his people would endure the Eternal Vigil to defeat Those from Below and their Gods.

By doing so, he and his people where transformed by the Monster-Gods, their skins turning to grey tones as a proof of their pact. It was how Kor ra Ath became the first of the Kaaradi.

The heroes of the Kauciin war
A powerful tribelord of the leprechaun kingdom of Gortuath, Samrad Guair of Murcadh, returns home to the forestlands from an exploratory expedition in the southern jungles to find his wife having birthed a son. The tribe's elder mystic predicts a great future for the boy. This son of Murcadh was favored by the gods of Dena, and would grow to become a powerful warrior and a wise tribelord.
The young boy, named Samhen Guair, was trained by his father from the early age of four to hunt and fight. Samhen quickly became an excellent archer and trapper, and under the schooling of his tribe's elder mystic he developed a talent enchanting and empowering weaponry with druidic rune carvings.

Samrad Guair, Samhen's father, was good friends with the ruler of the village of Kaucer and leader of the Kauciin tribe, Wilgrem Harhis. Wilgrem of Kaucer was the supposed heir of the throne of Gortuath, and a few years after Samhen's birth he begins planning to reclaim his birthright from the arch druid Farrod of the Teoth Denon, the current ruler of the tribal kingdom. The tribelord of the Kauciin starts rallying his neighboring tribes, among them the Cadhiin tribe of Murcadh and the warriors and druids in service of tribelord Samrad Guair.
Arch druid Lucidh Farrod of the Teoth Denon, regent of the leprechaun tribal kingdom, refuses to give up the throne and fortifies the capital of Kathbal. Several tribes of the northern parts of the kingdom allies with the arch druid and offers warriors and supplies.
The heir of the throne, Wilgrem of Kaucer, divides his forces and fights the war on several fronts, appointing trusted tribelord warriors to lead each legion. Tribelord Guair of the Cadhiin tribe leads the largest force, later come to be known as the Legion of Thousands, which attacks the gortuan heartland from the east. For half a decade the campaign of tribelord Guair is successful, and his legion, even if rendered thinner, remains unbeaten and feared by the arch druid's armies. Until the dire battle of Micahn, where the tribelord's forces are betrayed by their reinforcement tribes, and the tides of war shifts to the arch druid's favor.

Hearing of his father's demise in Micahn, young Samhen Guair sets out on a journey, alongside Wilgrem's son, Derak Harhis, to appeal the outcast tribes of the kingdom's borderlands and ask for their support in their peoples' war efforts. For over a year the boys travel across the forestlands, from north to south, seeking aid from any tribe they come across. As they come back home they learn Wilgrem of Kaucer has been slain in battle, and his weakened armies are led by the remaining loyal tribelords, who pledges their allegiance to Derak as he returns.
The following three years a gruesome war is fought. On one side stood the arch druid and his allied tribes, and on the other the southern tribes of the forestlands, under command of Derak Harhis, and the outcasts of the borderlands. Through infiltration and guerilla tactics Derak's forces manages to render the arch druid's armies thin, paving the way for an onslaught upon the kingdom's capital.

Samhen Guair, now a warlord leading a portion of Derak's army, manages to rally what remains of his father's legion, and continues his campaign on the eastern front. Utilizing everything from sneaky ambushes, runed traps and the strength of the badgerbull cavalry, warlord Guair earns the same feared reputation as his father had before him.
During a raging storm the forces of Derak Harhis manages to overrun the arch druid's armies on all frontiers, and begins their march on Kathbal to claim the throne. Alongside Samhen Guair and his father's legion, and the combined forces of his allies, the true heir of Gortuath charges the spiky wooden gates of the kingdom's capital. Arch druid Farrod realizes the war is lost to him, and surrenders the throne just as Derak breaches the walls.

After seizing power over Gortuath, king Derak Harhis allows the druids of the Teoth Denon to retain some of their former influence, working as consults and advisors under the throne. Samhen Guair is appointed high warlord and commander of the gortuan army, as well as leader of the Cadhiin tribe, and serves to protect the leprechaun realms until the day he dies.
King Derak leads the leprechaun tribes into an age of prosperity and wealth, laying the ground for their future expansion across the continent.

Aerus Solanas

A commoner of Lichtbuckt who rose to nobility through his great exploits in the Täjaran wars. He remained undefeated against the humans over a period of 26 years, becoming the number one enemy of Täjara. He lead the armies which liberated Westereichen 1530 years ago. The tale of his bloodline would be that of the sun, a glorious and bright rising that'd end in night and darkness.
When the Täjarans tried to reclaim Westereichen 1480 years ago, it was he and the legendary Alysa the Bold who lead the island's defences. For every acre lost to the humans they had to pay in rivers of blood. For an entire month the elves held back the Legions until only the great city itself remained, cut off from the continent by a Täjaran blockade. A dying messenger managed to reach the city just prior to the blockade, informing them that help was on the way. for weeks they held out as catapults and other siege weapons battered the city, but one by one the districts fell, the defenders slowly deminishing. At the end the remaining defenders made a last stand around the old city hall in the east central district. A bloody battle commenced, several humans falling for each elf as the defenders fought with a ferocity and a unyielding will as death took them that it shook the humans to the core. As only a few hundred remained did Alysa the Bold fall, skewed on a human spear at the young age of 53. Aerus Solanas yet lived but all three of his sons had perished. He rallied the few survivors and lead a last charge through the Legions, slaying the commanding officer with his last strength before the humans could overwhelm him. Their last stand would not be in vain as the entire northern fleet slammed through the Täjaran blockade, with a numerous Sturmmark army attacking the Legions from the rear.
The Great Skydome is situated where the old city hall once stood, the wall with the murals depicting the last stand standing right on top of where Alysa the Bold was said to have been slain.
As Aerus fell did great misfortune befall his descendants. One by one they perished in the wars until the summer of Fever and Tears when a great plague swept through Lichtbuckt, killing his last grand daughter and ending the Solanas noble house.

Bahuvrîhi, Supreme Head of the Axe Wielders :

Bahuvrîhi, 56 years old, is the actual Head of the whole Axe Wielder Bloodline in Kaarad. This veteran of countless battles against Those from Below, the Undeads and even the Asha in the last years of war with the Death Elves, is renowned for both his strength of will and his incredible skills when he use his great axe, despite is great age. Bahuvrîhi is actually one of the member of the Great Council of Kaarad, and is therefore greatly respected by all Kaaradi and slaves alike.

Bahuvrîhi's face is scarified with the Sigil of Tuam, the Kiaris God (obviously another incarnation of Tiam, the great Tiger God of Täjara), a Choice made as a mean to show his respect for his Tajarän ancestors who fell in the Kaarad 2000 years ago. The old man is maybe the greatest tactician of Kaarad, surpassing by far even the King of Terror Askerok himself. Bahuvrîhi is also charged with the protection of some crucial secrets that should not be known even by his Kaaradi's masters by decree of the Priesthood of Shal'vraal under the guidance of the Unholy Child himself : outside of said priests, Bahuvrîhi is the only living inhabitant of Kaarad with knowledge concerning the Covens of Assassins.

Bahuvrîhi is the the birth slave of Lakiru Tralkis, a female Kaaradi among the poorest in the Gathering of Sslu'arku, in the jurisdiction of Galagrön. Since his youth, he proved his greatness and his glory helped his master. However, at the age of thirty two, Lakiru sacrificed herself to save her slave's life during a skirmish against Those from Below; since the death of his owner, Bahuvrîhi is in mourn, feeling that despite the glorious death of Lakiru, he failed to protect her and is therefore incredibly zealous in his duties, as a mean to atone for what he see as a fault.

Bahuvrîhi is also the father of three children and married with Sahiha, another incredibly skilled Axe Wielder belonging to an inhabitant of Galagrön. Bahuvrîhi is highly protective when it comes to his family : hurting them would bring the wrath of the Supreme Head of the Axe Wielders to those fool enough to do so.

Here's a general idea I had for a character:

Traveler

A permutation of the line Researcher, Traveler's purpose is the discovery of new and exotic locations. The spindly golem wanders the world with little more than its poncho, walking stick, and hat for company by way of possessions, only caring to take memories as trophies of its exploration. This self-motivated explorer values only new vistas and strange environments. Traveler does not speak, and indeed cannot speak, never having bothered installing vocal apparatus in its chassis. Even the name Traveler is a crude representation of the bundle of memories, concepts, and emotions that Traveler actually identifies itself as. Adventure, exploration, danger, excitement, sunrise over a hidden valley, leap over an icy mountain chasm, hide from the rain under a mossy overhang, skulk through the streets of a mad city, hang from a cliff to dodge a stampede - those memories, those sensations, that is the true name of the golem referred to here as Traveler.

(I need to find a better standard for names... and military ranks...)
Ordanmas of the Perfect Aim
Ordanmas was born in 50 BS to unknown parents and left to survive on the streets of the capital city like many others orphans and goblins without inheritance. Surviving trough the cities of the capital as a street urchin, fighting thugs and stealing to survive. When he turned five he enrolled in a military academy but constantly failed in any martial discipline of melee, magic and faith were never his strong point, and although he did have a good tactical mind and eagle eyes he was a utter failure with crossbows, bows and other ranged weaponry. When he turned and was reaching the end of his military training he started seducing his superiors so he wouldn't be dismissed from the military and thrown back out on the streets. After one very long night with the legendary retired captainess, she found that he was pretty good at throwing weapons far surpassing in skill and strenght any of his fellow trainees with a bow or crossbow.

When he entered the military he was given a few sets of light weapons to throw from darts, axes and daggers, with these he quickly ascended trough the military almost always hitting his target. Throughout his military career he killed two thousand goblins, two hundred aldash, ..., seventeen dragons all with one shot, with his most notable kill being one of the favoured child of the Mountain King with a thrown dagger that passed right trough the eye and shattered the skull on the other side, and his tactical skills allowed the empire to break the Aldash blockade and started a set of successful campaigns against the Mountain Kingdom. He retired with fifty years as an hero and decided to spend his remaining years training new recruits in the art of tactics and throwing stuff, and taking care of his fifty heirs, but everything points that he will never get rest he so deserves as the Mountain King has made Ordanmas death his personal vendetta.

Opinions?

Well I'll use a Era'thora here. Cemotocu if I'm doing it wrong tell me so !

Erakni the Last Giant, Herald of Destiny :

The most ancient legends of Kaarad date back as far as the era when they were just the primitives Ath dwelling in the eastern corner of the would be Täjara; in such legends, it is said that thousands of years prior to the invasion of the world by Those from Below the sky was shattered and the world turned asunder when the Great Creators underwent a great war against other species. At that time the Ath were too primitives to understand what truly happened and their legends simply said that their Father disappeared below the earth.

It was only a thousand year before the end of the Age of Myth that the Ath discovered what had happened of their Father; in the Sprawling Caverns, Kor ra Ath and his people discovered the powerful dae'vha trapped and tortured by Those from Below. They fought in the darkness and managed to free Erakni but the ancient one was at the verge of becoming a Dum.

At that time, almost all the knowledge that the Ath had of the Great Creators was almost lost so they didn't understand that they had discovered their long lost Father. But Erakni remembered and when he saw his precious children dying alongside him he managed to grasp to his sanity and helped destroying Those from Below. He then led the Ath to the Slumbering Deeps were the Records of the Ashendants rested and where the Monster-Gods slept in their dreamless state.

Erakni then departed to heal himself believing that the defeat of his species millennia ago was the proof of their wrongdoings. He settled in what his now one of the most sacred place of Kaarad : the Spear of Destiny, a huge stalagmite facing the stalactite where the Kaaradi carved Galagrön. It is believed that the Herald of Destiny will exit his Spear when the time will come to destroy the Gods of Terror and their Slaves once and for all.
