Default Rumbles of Thunder

This is the story Dave Kosak gave me feedback on. Feel free to read it if you want, it deals with my interpretation of Lei Shen becoming the Thunder King.

Very good. This could definitely be an official short story, it fit their style.

I'd also like to hear what Kosak said about it.

Pretty awesome. I liked Lei-Shen's reaction to Ra-Den's refusal to help them.

He said that it was a really good story - he liked that I was able to make Lei Shen and the other mogu relate-able to the average player.

He gave me a few pointers on where to avoid things like repetition(that's my big weakness - I tend to repeat words and phrases that sound good) and the like but most of the feedback he gave me was positive.

Essentially I set out to try to make the mogu more sympathetic then just your generic evil hoofed race. I wanted to show that during the Age of a Hundred Kings, people like Lei Shen were treated badly for their "ideas" of unity. Lei Shen always struck me as the type to do anything for the power to "save" his people, so why not literally take the "heart" out from your own god to do it?

While I'm not a Mogu fan, it's pretty great! Grats on you getting Kosak's feedback, and grats to him for being constructive and nice!

Thanks all, I appreciate the feedback!

I'm writing another fic about the Mogu so I'll post it here when it's done.

I actually found this about a week ago and added it to my favorites list on FFN before I realized you were the author. That was a cool coincidence when I finally noticed your name there.

Because if you truly get no enjoyment out of WoW, then why are you here?

With that said, goodbye.

I like it. It's a little on the short side, but still pretty good.

Yeah, I didn't want to make it too long and boring. Talking about stone robots doing robot things can drag on pretty far.

I'm tempted to write a Part 2 as a follow up but I dunno yet.

A part 2 could be interesting, maybe play it like a zombie apocalypse.

Just out of curiosity, does this mean Kosak regularly browses the fanfiction website?

To be quite honest I'm surprised Kosak is allowed to read fanfiction. I've heard from writers for other companies (and not just video games) that they're forbidden from reading fanfiction or fan comics because they might accidentally take ideas and that's a big legal grey area.
