Talking

Good news everyone! Three new additions to the OP: neoshadow's music, a second playlist by me and most importantly an anthology of the best music from everyone! (At least in my opinion.)

Finally got the 15 songs and sent them to Sarah. Fortunately I didn't add Ghost because Sky seems to already have added that one.

my list was revised, due to two of the songs not being on utube.

edit : Nazja, fan of Russian leaders and crackers eh?

Ohh, I forgot to change that song... I actually wanted the Taco version and not Fred Astaire's, and to be honest, I wasn't even sure if I wanted Taco's or something else.

Mind changing it for Taco's, Shaman?

Grunt

I can't get over how much I've been loving Melancholy Hill. I had completely forgotten about that song for years until I made this thread here, it just sounds so welcoming and good.

Peons are probably more likely to mate simply by virtue of being less likely to die prematurely than grunts, so yes, he's that kind of orc.

Was thinking of this thread again recently, glad to see it updated again.

Saw Mystery Skulls on Nazja's playlist. I've only recently heard of them (because of this video), rather like it.

Glad to see two of mine up there Particularly What It Is. I flipflop between that and Sailing to Philadelphia as my favorites of Knopfler's (at least his solo stuff. From his Dire Straits days, Money for Nothing still is my favorite. One of the earliest songs I can remember hearing, too), but when it comes down to it, What It Is makes me want to dance, while Sailing is more of a "song I can put on during a long drive and zen out to" sort of thing.

Neoshadow, I didn't expect to see Ken Ashcorp on any of these lists, heh. Crazy Chicks is definitely my favorite of his (though all his music is great).

Definitely is interesting to poke through everyone's. Found some new (or old, in some cases) stuff for me to listen to

Terrible news, everyone! Porimlys is dead. But great news everyone! He left behind plenty of muse for me to use.

I've gone through three more playlists, Rufin's, Skytotem's and Torch's. The top 5:

1. Queen - Killer Queen
2. Unknown - I'm Just Your Problem
3. Rush - Kid Gloves
4. At the Drive-In - Pattern Against User
5. Man at Work - Overkill

Honourable mentions: Genesis - Musical Box, Marillion - Cinderella Search, Ozzy Osbourne - S.A.T.O, Queen - Flick of the Wrist, Shooter - Nessaja (that 90s nostalgia ), Marillion - When I Meet God, Genesis - Hearts on Fire, Black Sun Empire - Bitemark, Dance Gavin Dance song, Oingo Boingo - Little Girls, Bastion OST - Setting Sail, Coming Home, The Blue Van - Quest for Fame and Glory, Homestuck homage (?) - Kill the Lights, Hudson Hawk - Swinging on a Star (so cheery!).

Stuff I knew (and loved) already: Ghost, We Didn't Start the Fire, Freak of the Week, Hold the Line, Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You, Karma Chameleon Heart - Never, Melancholy Hill, Bonnie Tyler and the Flying Pickets songs.

-Rufin's music this time around, for me, was a few jewels sprinkled on stuff that just doesn't interest me. I generally don't like rap and even if I got into rap I'd go for homemade stuff which is both good and actually raps about stuff I care about. I love your, how do I call it, modern rock (Gavin stuff and At the Drive-In)? I always had trouble naming this genre, in my head I call it garage rock because I imagine it starting out in suburb garages. Loved Bitemark too, good electro, as I've said quite a few individual songs that rocked.

-Skytotem's music was perhaps the most entertaining of these three, so many powerful and cheery songs and I kinda need those these days. Even those that were more sombre were very enjoyable, all in all an excellent playlist. If there is any issue it is that some stuff was a bit too nerdy, and I can like nerdy but when it is your kind of nerdy it is just... not quite right, but maybe that's just me, excellent stuff Sky.

-Torch's playlist I've also enjoyed quite a bit. I quite like that you put in a lot of variety, to better show your musical range. As you can see above I've liked or already known most of your songs so we are mostly spot on. One thing I might mention though is that perhaps you went with too much prog. I can and do like it as you can see, but not always. Sometimes prog is a bit too deep and heavy and you just want some casual listening. Either way a minor complaint, great stuff m8

Fuck off with that! I haven't even played half those games. I included them because they're awesome, instrumental music.
