![]() That's unfair. 5.3 had less time to make people quit.

![]() 5.3 didn't have a lot of content, 5.4 has more even if it's not to some people's standards. It'll probably drop to 7 million.

![]() A will still boast more players then any other mmorpg, infact more players then some 2 or 3 other mmos playerbase combined.

![]() I totally forgot the queue... That was fun, not. As if the blackouts weren't bad enough... (I was living in the Dom Rep back then, and despite having our own generator, the blackouts were a pain the arse.)

![]() So what's the total net loss since the end of Cata?
I'd also be curious to see a graph of new accounts vs. cancelled accounts (that haven't been reactivated). I have a hunch that the problem is less people leaving and more no new people joining. Additionally, it'd be interesting to see if these sub losses are the novelty/fad bubble bursting - a hypothesis that would be supported if the numbers start to stabilize or fluctuate around a certain number. |

![]() So the question is, what will get fans excited again?
Better content, victories for a faction (doubt it, as you'll only be trading one factions fans for another), new character models? |

![]() Point is its making a insane amount of money still and is lasting very very long since its a sub based game.. The second it gets close to being similar playerbase wise to other games it could go F2P and it would probably go straight back up all over again. Especially if the graphics are being updated next expansion by redoing the basic player models.

![]() I am still quite content to see WoW burn.
The damage it has done to the lore is nigh fatal and Blizzard have become massive complacent pricks, I'd be happy to see them fall of their high horse. Even if the death of WoW meant the death of Blizz (it doesn't, and WoW sadly isn't dieing yet) I would still want it to happen, I am that disappointed with them. I'd just hope they sell the Starcraft franchise to someone competent. Last edited by C9H20; 07-26-2013 at 12:20 PM.. |

![]() But I am certainly not denying WoW's commercial success, but from a standpoint of someone who wants quality lore it was nothing short of cataclysmic. |
