Seriously, I can't believe there are actually fans of this franchise who like Cersei.

I want her to fucking die screaming already.
Ehh- give her some time.

Give her some time? She doesn't get better. She only gets worse. With Kevan dead, she's going to run House Lannister into the ground.

Which is something that I wish they would get into more of her psyche about how she wishes that she could've been her brother, or a man instead so she could prove herself instead of being locked into her role as a female and then when she tries to prove that she can be the equal of a man, it all ends up blowing up in her face and take a bad situation and makes it worse likie when she gets locked up in the chapel for her sins of incest and it's up to Qyburn to rescue her.

Just makes what happens more delish.

Well, up until then -- I can see why people sympathise with her, stuck in a man's world when she is more competent than a portion of them. She's brash and incredibly conceited, but an incredibly caring mother. She's human and written like one in her own PoV chapters. Not a monster. Humans tend to get a degree of sympathy, monsters don't.

Up until Kevan's death, she still did plenty of monstrous things, though. Have people forgotten Falyse Stokeworth so soon? What of Melara Hetherspoon?

She's more competent than a portion of the men in her world? Are we reading the same books? This is the same woman who got herself imprisoned by the High Septon. She was the one who gave the Faith that power to begin with! She literally orchestrated her own fall because she was too incompetent and greedy to see the long-reaching consequences of her actions. I wouldn't say she's competent at all.

Littlefinger? Varys? Ned Stark? Stannis Baratheon? Tywin Lannister? Tyrion Lannister? Jon Snow? Those are competent men. Cersei? She is a monster. I don't care how much she loves her children. She is a monster. Perhaps not quite as overt as Ramsay or Joffrey, but she is definitely an evil creature. As such, I have absolutely zero sympathy for her. I eagerly await the chapter when she finally gets her due. And no, the Walk of Shame is nothing compared to the punishment needed.

Hey man, don't shoot the messenger. I'm not fond of the woman I was just shooting some ideas out as to why they could get behind her, it was the best I could come up with . I'm in camp Theon.

Although I am really curious about if we get to see Qyburn's experiments first hand in a PoV chapter, beyond the undead Mountain.

>Season 4, episode 6: The Laws of Gods and Men
>Stannis and Davos dock at Braavos harbor
>They go to the Iron Bank
>On their way people throw coins at them, yelling beggar king! beggar king!
>Stannis tells Davos to pick them up, they need all the help they can get
>Davos kneels in the mud and then Stannis kicks him in his groin
>Cut to the IB hall
>Why did you come here, Beggar King?
>It is the Iron Bank, is it not? And I have a plenty of people that need to pay the iron price.
>You will have to give us something more than death of your enemies
>Davos goes pale, Stannis claps his hands
>Melisandre enters with a boy with madness in his eyes and runes carved into his face
>We took him out of the water. I saw in flames that he spent three days there
>The banker clearly isnt impressed. What of it?
>Its no regular boy. Its the Bronze Royce of House Yohn, a not-so-distant branch of house Baratheon
>Davos takes Stannis to the side
>Your grace, in the laws of Gods and Men theres no one more acursed than a ki-
>Stannis punches him
>I have no need of weak and feeble. Do I need to remind you what I did to that miserable bird Renly called Proudwing?
>The banker is wearing a crimson red cape now
>RHOLOR HUNGERS!, he shouts.
>RHOLOR HUNGERS!, Stannis shouts back.
>May the many faced god have mercy on us all, Davos whispers.

D & DB also create a re-edition of Odyssey.

Where Odysseus is just a complete prick and manages to kick puppies into Poseidon's gaping chasm. Just cuz.

>Tyrion sneaks into Tywin's room
>Shae is tied to the bed while Tywin looks up at Tyrion from behind his desk
>"You! You bloody demon, how did you escape the guards? How did you come here?!"
>"The only thing that matters is that I'm taking her with me. Don't try stop me, father"
>"NO, MY GIANT LION! Run from this cursed place! You don't have to save me!"
>"Silence! You're nothing but a whore, just like that innocent girl that I recklessly let half of my army rape despite Tyrion's genuine love for her!"
>Tyrion grabs a crossbow that lies near him and kills his cruel father before he can alert the guards.
>"After all, a Lannister always pays his debts, and you did pay the iron price, father!"

>Shae and Tyrion escape and set sail for Braavos during the night.
>Hours pass, when suddenly they hear the captain shouting.
>"Ships sighted! Great Stallion save us, it's Stannis' fleet! Prepare to be boarded!"
>After a brief fight Tyrion's ship is captured by Stannis.
>Tyrion and Shae are brought up to the deck of Stannis' ship, where they find Stannis and Davos waiting for them.
>"I never thought to find you here, imp. R'hllor smiles upon us this day."
>"King Stannis. The night is dark and full of terror, indeed. Off to send my sweet sister to the seven hells?"
>"There'll be no seven hells for you, imp. I'm sending you to the halls of the Drowned God. Ser Davos, drown the dwarf and his whore."

A part of me wishes that Stannis dies in the books, just so they can demonize his death in the show.

I actually consider Stannis to be one of the smartest men in the whole series/books.

Im... I am impressed by your skill, I normally am able to unmask them at first sight but this one really has me doubting my judgement

Skids taps Megatron's Autobot badge.

Skids: Right. There. What does that badge even mean to you? How has wearing it forced you to modify your behaviour? I'm serious! How has being an Autobot in any way prevented you from doing exactly what you want? Because if the answer is "it hasn't"—then nothing you've said or done in the last six months counts for anything.

...What?

I mean, obviously he's not as batshit crazy as he is in the show, but what?

Stannis is a pig-headed moron who is always going to lose.

So was this episode accurate in the books, or are they turning Jaime into Stannis?

In the books it was consensual.

It was much more consensual in the books. Even though they meant this to be consensual in the end, it really did not get that through at all. Goodbye Jaime redemption arc.

Laughed so hard at the part with the Iron bank, could only think about that ^ thing Drusus posted.
