I'm... not sure if it's funny that people think that pre-expansions have never utterly fucked balance between the classes in the ear (let alone at lower levels in general - HAH, CLASS BALANCE AT LOWER LEVELS), or kinda depressed that we keep having this pattern of people going "the fuck, why are you nerfing my class now when the expansion isn't here yet, do that shit later!" every single goddamn time.

Not to mention PvE buffs that piss off PvP players, or vice versa.

People are goldfish...

...ooh, a castle!

Blizzard is probably one of them, Valve another (though good luck getting into that DARPA of game designers). But for the most part you're just going to end up as a cog like Neo said.

But if you really want to venture into that world, you need to start right now. It's the sort of thing you have to do because you're compelled to do it. So go download the Creation Kit for Skyrim, load up the free online tutorials, and just dive into it. Yet chances are that if you already haven't been trying to get into game design, it's not going to be a good fit.

Oh, and go get a programming degree from an ABET school. Plus a year or more work experience in that field.
im doing a course for interactive media, covers game design, motion graphics/video editing, and television stuff. I wanna be an artist.

1/ I don't shit over them, I've never said a bad word about their support system as it's excellent and I was proud to be part of it. The Developer side of things is a totally different sport and I will say what I like about it; deal with it. That said, I'm mild with my comments compared to some here, so kindly shut your retarded mouth, kthx.

2/ As I've said, I was a Game Master, you do realise that's basically a glorified way of saying 'Customer Service Representive' monkey, right? That is not the fucking "Gaming Industry" mmmk? We didn't work with, or see, or speak to, the Developers or anyone that mattered. We were in a totally different office for fuck sake. It was a decent gig, the pay was fair without being what I'd call 'good' and the perks were pretty cool. That aside, it was the exact same as ANY FUCKING OTHER Customer Service role; retarded children making unreasonable demands and then punishing you [the agent] via those goddamn In-game Surveys when you didn't give them everything they asked for. Ergo, that shit wears people down over time and hence why, when Blizzard wanted to lay-off a large portion of the staff (over 200 from my Office alone went, along with a ton of Brother/Sister GMs from Cali) there were no shortage of volunteers for the redundancy packages (they were fair without being especially good).

From your posts Quirn, you're a silly little emo kid that doesn't live in the real world, so I doubt any of that will get through to you, but please; try.

Back when wall-hacking was a thing I used to venture into the unfinished mountain-top areas across Azeroth, throw away my hearthstone, and contact a GM, asking them to help me declare wheverever I stood as my sovereign land once they'd show up. Sometimes I also contacted them during the early morning hours to have a casual chat, or maybe roleplay a little. And when they told me to HS and get back to civilized areas, and to get out of the unfinished peaks of Azeroth, I explained to them that I'd misplaced my hearthstone, and that they had to use their magical GM-powers to teleport me back to Orgrimmar.

Those were good times.

Blizzard has been registering 'Overwatch' in almost every region over the last few weeks, and 'Eye of Azshara' is also another trademark that has surfaced, but only out of Benelux. Here we go again?

I've never had a bad experience with a GM--they haven't always been able to fix my problem, but they've always been friendly and polite--so I make sure to respond in kind and give good survey responses.

I know from first-hand experience that the customer is always fucking insane.

I think that Eye of Azshara is probably an Hearthstone extension. It doesn't really sound like a WoW expac name.

These images make me think otherwise. Besides, if they want to release a new WOW expansion each year... That said, I'm not expecting a WOW expansion. I'll go with fake on this one.

However the Hearthstone expansion is said to be mechanical themed as there is the Novice Engineer's "I hope you like my invention" in the Blizzcon plans cards given to some community members.

Like a battle.net twitch? I wonder if they can get it to beat twitch where the userbase has already taken root.

I don't know. If it was anything BUT Azshara I'd assume it was Hearthstone, but I doubt that they're going to have us 'fight' Azshara in their spin-off title before we do in WoW. Besides that, going after Azshara is the most obvious step for the next expansion, the one antagonist that everybody (well, bar the 'IS IT ARGUS?' crowd who shriek that EVERY expansion) was anticipating.

I thought Hearthstone as well, but they didn't trademark Curse of Naxxramas and they've been heavily indicating the next Hearthstone thing will be mechanical, not naga.

They took away a lot of my spells and made ProM a 1.5 sec cast spell. I liked Inner Focus too.

I want Eye of Azshara to be the expansion so I want to believe this. I have no plans on playing a Naga character, but the idea of being on the seas, exploring islands, tying things up with Neptulon, the Naga, the Broken Isles, and the Zandalari, places where Bilgewater Goblins and the Playable Pandaren are relevant, Kul'Tiras, possible tie-ins to the Emerald Dream/Nightmare, N'zoth, and from there possibly to whatever's sleeping under Lordaeron (and from there to Lordaeron), I see a lot of possibilities.

But that's the only reason I'm paying this trademark any mind. So, I'm gonna wait and see. I have WoD to look forward to. No need to get overly worked up.

Ehh.. that's kind of a weak connection, given that the zone was named after a very prominent figure.

Nor does it explain the 'Eye' part.
