Default Which class should I roll?

Alright. As most of you know, I never played WoW before. However, I recently got a World of Warcraft the Burning Crusade from my friend as a very, very, very late birthday present. I didn't want his present to go to waste, so I decided to buy WoW Vanilla and suscribe to WoW.

Obviously, I'm going to pick Orc as my race. However, I'm very unsure if I want to pick Warrior as my class. Since you guys are the only people I know who have experience with WoW, what class should I pick?

I'm playing on a PVP server by the way.

You really need to define what you liked to play in games like Oblivion, Diablo and whatnot, your name really hints you love a melee class, but the Warrior class is absurbly weak when it comes to PvP right now, but because you do not posses a lvl 55 character you can't make a Death Knight.

Also remember even if you wanna just go as a damage dealer warrior, you gotta be pretty prepared to collect tank gear and tank in dungeons, because if you roll a fucking class that tanks and/or heals, you better do your roles mistah.

EDIT: Maybe wait for the big patch to hit and roll a Hunter, your gonna need alot of keybindings and shit but its a good class to begin with tbh.

Do hunters in WoW die easily? One thing I hate when playing a new RPG game is when you just think you've picked the right class like a ranged damage dealer, you die a lot.

But, I am considering on picking hunter. Just because I've played so many hunters/ranged damage dealers on other games. Too bad they die easily...

As long as you PvE your pet eats most of the damage.

Because my main is a hunter I tend to panic when I play another class and lose more then 25% health XD

EDIT: Hunter also have Feign Death, an ability that can save you very often^^

Actually Hunters are ridicilously strong and yeah alot of MMOs had the problem fo ranged being too weak but Blizzard actually managed to make them really scary and powerful, this game btw has horribly PvP balance and Hunters are on the top brackets atm.

I thought Rogues were the ones who were feared. Meh, what do I know...

Before I make my final decision, can you guys tell me the details of the other classes? I'm still not sure whether I should roll a hunter, warrior or shaman.

At 80, hunters (when played correctly) are pretty hard to kill, unless you're a Death Knight or Ret Pally (high burst, anti-kite class). As for leveling, when you hit 10 and get your pet, say goodbye to down time and difficulty soloing

Also i'd recommend going Mining and Skinning for professions, as it is your first character the money comes handy.

Go hunter. Orc hunter was my first character and it was a great experience. He only went to level 40-something, but it was a very enjoyable grind.
