There only seem to be a few of them joining, so it's clearly not numbers.
They also hardly have a connection with the rest of the Pandaran so I doubt they'll be the PR guys in Pandaria.
Technology wise, they'll probably have little to offer compared to the Pandarian Pandaran.
I see the appeal from a player/developer perspective but lorewise, I don't really get why the Horde or Alliance would want them. I also doubt they'd play a big role within the faction considering they're on both sides and would cancel eachother out.

Well, they also teach them the martial arts, after all, they learn the way of the monk from the pandaren.

But I recall soon they will be replaced by a staff? I think staff is a pretty reasonable weapon for a tanking monk, which is a brewmaster.

If brewmaster's main weapon is staff or polearm, then they can share it with the feral druid.

For example, Chen uses a staff as his weapon.

Basically DPS monks are going to be rolling need on all of the rogue's weapons and gear, and then for the tank monks they will be wanting the feral staves while the heal monks for after every other 1/2H with caster stats on it.
