Legion preppers.. .Is that kinda like doomsday preppers? Are we agreeing that WoW will burn in it's own wretched flames, my good cat?

Some of you seem really invested in seeing Blizzard bite the dust. Almost as seeing a spurned wife wishing the worst for her ex.

Anyway, I feel we will see another one to two millions go away. The real question though, is how will the financial impacto of this look like, both when speaking about World of Warcraft itself and about Blizzard as a whole.

I don't think anyone wants to see Blizzard bite the dust so much as get a heavier kick in the ass that would motivate them to do better than what they did with WoD. I'm not sure if a drop in sub numbers will do that, since loss of subs probably means loss of resources they can spend to produce better content, but I'm sure someone else can argue a case for that better than I can.

Blizzards fans are stupid that oppose those that oppose blizzard, they are the ones who create the "offensive word exchange" serves them right.

You presume too much. I am not interested in defending Blizzard, for there is nothing worth defending. But this is not about defending Blizzard, this is about people being too emotional to the point of being overly bitter or even hateful.

But as your question made me smile a little, here is a concrete answer. Neither. As someone who works with its consequences every day, I am not really fond of the cold and unforgiving reality, but neither am I of raiding (or World of Warcraft for that matter).

Well, some people sure construct their posts to suggest otherwise. But be it as it may, it matters little. If you truly "divorced" yourself with Blizzard and their products, just let it go and be done with it. There is no need to constantly return and remind both yourself and the rest how you did right decision and how everything they do is a failure. Or, as is the case of some people, wish them more failures (or even worse), as if that would help anything. And, on the other hand, if you still wish to see them get their things done once again, wishing them as many failures as possible is not really going to help things either. If World of Warcraft falls further in the subscription numbers, it may come to the point where Blizzard will deem it a lost cause and will redirect resources to other projects, particularly to the projects like Heroes of the Storm or Hearthstone.

That would probably be for the best, to be honest. It might be in Blizzard's best interest, at least from a creative standpoint, to take a break from World of Warcraft and reinvigorate their efforts through other projects.

Pardon me, I constructed my post around the idea of talking about the World of Warcraft players specifically, but looking at it, it comes across as too general. My fault.

Anyway. Well, I agree with that. It would most certainly be better for anyone except for the people who still wish (wherever they admit it or not) World of Warcraft to get better.

Yea I'd rather WoW get better rather than my 11 year old chars go down the drain.

Well, this is not really about World of Warcraft being shut down completely. It is more about them abandoning "stable" expansion and content patch cycles and vastly reducing the development team.

Ah yeah, 7.1. Well it probably dropped by another million or so.

I think the game's lower limit hits somewhere around 5 million, it won't drop below that unless they completely stop producing content.

Legion will probably spike it back up to 8-10 million.
