Multiplayer Ladder
All Coop Commanders till level 5, and Artanis/Raynor/Kerrigan completely free
Wings of Liberty Campaign


Ever since the launch, ladder seems easier than before, probably due to the new players coming in. Made this thread just in case any of you feel like playing SC2 but missed this news. The Starcraft forum does not get much attention here, sadly.

Also, they incorporated some design changes with patch 4.0, most notable being the removal of the Mothership Core. However, as a Protoss player, I am not missing that unit at all, because of the Stalker buff. Infestors are currently a bit too strong because of the Infested Terran buff, but a nerf is incoming.

Isn't "Heart of the Swarm" free now, too?

The HoTS campaign is free if you already owned Wings of Liberty.

Didn't they make the multiplayer F2P like ages ago?

Also, they no longer sell the campaigns individually? That kinda sucks, I would hate to pay for the whole thing just to play the 3rd part, which I missed. Not like I care too much about SC2 anymore, but still. Or do you get all the campaigns for free if you already owned 1 or 2?

I believe unranked multiplayer was free and you could do ranked teams with a friend before. Now you can unlock ranked 1v1 ladder after 10 days.

They do sell the campaigns in a bundle known as the campaign collection. Also give you some coop commanders. But yeah, it would not be worth getting the collection for just the lotv campaign, as it is 64 Euros(40 Euros now, because of the sale)
