I agree with that in general, though there's always the obvious racial biases, Dwarves would use more Earth/Metal and Fire than the rest of the Alliance.

Maybe even break it up on clan basis. Bronzebeards: Earth and Ice, Dark Irons: Metal and Fire, Wildhammer: Lightning/Wind and 'life'?

As for the Alliance and Horde I've always wanted them and the goblin/gnome divide to kind of spread to the rest of the factions styles.

With Biological enhancement through alchemy and voodoo with a bit of elemental and shadow based enhancement, while the Alliance did it more through divine and technological means.

I think it has to do with those crystals that are everywhere in Un'Goro (and Sholazar ok).

Anyway, this expansion together with the HotS-WoW mount makes me think the next WoW expansion might have something to do with primal beasts and Dinosaur stuff.

Yea...
IIRC, the last time we had Fire Orcs was back when "Da Dark Shamans" we're trying to make them under Orgrimmar.

They had a problem of going insane.

Don't get me wrong, I fully support the idea of creating Fire Orcs and using more elemental stuff but the previous lore has some of that being considered bad and evil unless you use consent.

Could my dreams of a Zandalar expansion be coming true?

Hasn't the line been that its damaging regardless of consent?

shrug* no clue.

All I know is that we have sane elemental ascendants in the order halls so clearly melding with the elements with consent is now a thing.

Wouldn't be too much of a stretch to say that a minor form of it could happen.

Orb of Fire

Hmmm, playable ogres that are more elemental-/gronn-like.

Yup, and PC shamans could also ascend, before Legion led to the ability's removal.

It's unlikely to happen but it'd be really great if they took the time to develop the more inhospitable places like Un'goro, Swamp of Sorrows etc.

Traveler had some neat bits and pieces about Feralas's flora and fauna I enjoyed and would love to see more of, but that just might be me and my love of dangerous shitholes filled with man-eaters and deadly plants that people just aren't meant to live in and any attempts to settle them go horribly wrong.

I really need to finish that story about an ill-fated expedition into Stranglethorn by the early explorers of Southern EK way back when Stormwind was first founded.

Finally some viable avenues for shamanism to develop in

One kind of deck I play relatively often is a deck that has exclusively Basic cards but all of them are golden. And as I was playing today it occurred to me, this kind of play is hipster as hell isn't it?

So is no one talking about the fact that Hearthstone is introducing a hitherto never before seen race of turtle people? I don't think we've ever got such a big lore bombshell in Hearthstone before. Think they're the offspring of Tortolla?

Huh, weird

Dubious canon at this point but if real where have they been in Ungoro?

I saw it and was curious but I figured it was explained in one of the expansions since I stopped caring.

There are many concepts from HS I would love to see make it into general Warcraft lore. The dapper, booming Gadgetzan being chief among them. Though honourable mention goes to The Grand Tournament (a yearly recreation of Argent Tournament).

They're in Un'goro, so they're probably the result of some kind of experiment. Could even be relatively recent.

Plus, the warcraft universe has a few minor sentient races that have an all but neglectable presence in the world. What's one more?

The turtlemen are also in this pic

Not really a fan of the very cartoony (even by warcraft standards ) artstyle chosen for the dinosaurs. Some very cool concepts behind it though.

Orc Icon (War3)

Goren. The smallest relative of the common ogre (and orc).

Like Nazja said, it's a goren. It's a usually relatively small humanoid that digs tunnels beneath Draenor and eats elemental substances (including creatures) to gain their power. They're generally very dangerous pests, coming in large broods. They're also found hanging around with larger breakers. Like all of the draenor primordials, their level of intelligence and mental independence seem highly variable, usually appearing as little more than beasts, but there's the occasional one showing intelligence.
