![]() Not at all surprised.
http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/...on-Subscribers 3 million subs gone, even with a token system in place to allow players to play for "free" (token subs DO count against sub numbers). World of TimeTravelBullshitGarrisonCraft is an utter disaster, might actually be WORSE than Cataclysm. I'd expect heads to roll at Blizzard. |

![]() Makes sense they lost subscribers after the new expansion bubble burst. They better have a plan though for what happens in-between Hellfire Citadel and the next expansion because I don't think a lot of people still want to be raiding there till February-ish of next year.

Like, any company I've ever been at would be in full-fledged panic mode by now. Activision won't rest lightly on this. Someone at Blizzard had better make some moves in a hurry, or shit will get real, and fast. |

I'm just not even remotely suprised. We [those of us not arselicking Blizzard at every chance, you people know who you are] all saw this coming. |

I'm too lazy to look for it. But I know I said it. I'm sort of glad I was right - I think they need a kick in the balls like this to wake them up and realize how bad shit is. |

![]() Problem is, someone's almost certainly going to go "Well, we had a far, far higher spike of resubscriptions that we expected, so excluding that we only lost 300kish". And possibly less response to the proper bollock kicking needed

![]() It's lower than the MoP content drought. Solid expansion Blizzard.

![]() Q1 2016 though = South Seas; Blizzard regains all of its lost subscriptions, adds about 10,000,000 more and everyone is happy beyond the sea

Blizzard has been aware of this far longer than we have, and this only reaffirms by feeling that they basically said fuck it this expansion and are trying to salvage the next one, which in all probability will suck as well since their belief is still "the game is to hard, better make it easier and cut more abilities"

![]() So it's funny how they hide in the report why they increased the price of WoD overall and subs in some regions.

![]() Heh, this expansion is terrible. Guilds are dying out, people lost their will to play. Most log in, do garrison chores, log out, until they find out that it's not fun and give up on coming back.
Compare MoP. By this same time from release, we had a lot more to do and there were two of the best patches ever in WoW, with Landfall and Throne of Thunder. That horrible flaming shit that was 5.3 was not released yet, we were looking forward for Siege of Orgrimmar and everything seemed so much better. Now, we are not looking forward for next patch, but eagerly waiting any good news about next expansion, hoping it can save the game.

![]() You know, Kosak brought us MoP, so it's not his head that'll end on the chopping block.

![]() 6.1 must have been a bit embarrassing for the designers though. Blizzard's philosophy (as least what they say in their mission statement) is that its better for a game to be late than unfinished. But then here's patch 6.1, which entirely consisted of content that was supposed to be ready for release (heirloom tab, garrisons etc) Or Blackrock Foundry which was ready to play was just held back - presumably to artificially-extend Warlords of Draenor's already short lifespan.
Blizzard seems to be trying to do more with less which doesn't really make sense considering the resources at Blizzard's disposal. If any developer could afford to be ambitious it would be Blizzard, but they don't. |

Yes, quests and writing need people dedicated to it, but requires far less resources than new art assets or encounter mechanics.

![]() WoW is dying. I am so happy right now.
something dramatic had to happen. they have never seen this big of a loss some months after an expansion. Hopefully this will make them focus on the next expansion instead of 6.2 (Honestly I think 6.2 is pretty much finished. it is just bug fixes and the small feature called docks left. |
