Maybe it was Tyr that saved them? We know that Ymiron wanted all the children born as humans to be murdered, but we have no idea how the ancestors that went on to actually become the humans survived that purge.

My theory was that some of the Vykrul escaped rather then kill the kids, and since they didn't go into the hibernation, they all died from old age after making some settlements in the south, leaving only the humans left. Tyr saving them though would be an interesting alternate theory though, and would explain why a city of such holy significance would be named after him, he would be the savior of humans, in a way.

It is worth noting that while the Titans' seed races each seem to have some form of "patron" Watcher or Titan associated with thier creation and/or duties, the Vrykul are rather conspicuously lacking in that department.

Perhaps Tyr was the Watcher charged with overseeing the Vrykul, as Hodir was with the Frost Giants and Mimir was with his Mechagnomes.

What about Thorim? He watches over a sect of Vykrul, that female only village. Maybe he was the patron of the Vykrul and when Sif was killed just sort of fell out with them? (Other then the blue chicks, obviously.)

Dunno, Thorim seems more aligned theme-wise with the Storm Giants. And the Hyldnir almost seem more like they're revering Sif, in trying to emulate her and earn the place she once held at Thorim's side.

Take a look at Auriaya's name. Sound familiar?

Aurum is the Latin word for gold. "Gold"-iaya.

Ironaya. In Uldaman. Auriaya is probably connected to Ironaya somehow.

That's an interesting coincidence. Hmmm, that's very strange. I wonder if we'll ever see Copperaya

Argentiaya?

Argent=silver .

She's just a normal mob. Who cares about her. Kill and loot, that's all.

Argentina means 'silver land' or 'land of silver'. The name was given by spanish when they first arribed to 'El rio de la plata'(The river of silver) because the sunlight made the water look like liquid silver and so they tought the land was full of it.
