Default Alleria Windrunner - Age and Immortality

I was wondering about Alleria's age.

she supposedly fought in Troll wars which would make her over 3000 years old.

if you later count her time spending in the Twisting Nether, she is over 4000 years old and yet she looks very young.

she is now a Void Elf, not to mention she absorbed the Dark Naaru.

my questions are:

1. Did she really fought in the Troll wars???
2. If she did, why does she looks so young compared to Anasterian or is that famous commonly trait we have around fiction where immortal women look young and beautiful (something like in Witcher Universe where centuries year old men are looking old while women are young and beautiful)???
3. Did she become immortal (cannot die of old age) when she became a Void Elf???

I am not aware of any source that claims she for in the Troll Wars from 3000 years ago. That would indeed make her too old. As for now that she's a void elf, we have no idea if she's immortal, her or any other void elf for that matter.

That book is evil.

EDIT:

The evil book seems to be right this time around.

From Chronicle I:

Evil truly knows no boundaries.

yeah I know but considering she wasn't mentioned in the Chronicles, maybe she didn't fought during the Troll wars.

Well, while not confirmed by far, it's possible that Alleria's mention in the Encyclopedia is a relic from the times when the Troll Wars were supposed to end very recently. Day of the Dragons mentions this when it says that when at last humanity had dealth with the trolls, the first wave of orcs descended upon the lands.

Chronicle doesn't mention Alleria being there, Krainz, so I don't get what you meant by that.

In current canon, I believe it's very unlikely Alleria was around in the Troll Wars. Wars against trolls after that, absolutely, but not those great ones 2800 years ago.

Speaking of... Doesn't the Marksman hunter artifact's scenario mention that it was used by Alleria during the troll wars?

Probably her ancestor; Alleria didn't inherit Thas'dorah until her mother - who was still Ranger-General of Quel'thalas at the time - died fighting Horde-allied Amani trolls at the onset of the Second War.

Which come to think of it, changes Sylvanas' backstory notably as well. Based on the most recent lore revisions we have from Legion, instead of being a longstanding Ranger-General by the time of the Third War, Sylvanas was basically still new to the position when the Second War started in earnest and in high elf terms, hadn't even been Ranger-General for very long when the Scourge came to Quel'thalas.

That rather saliently contradicts her prior backstory, as all previous lore sources had acted like Sylvanas was Ranger-General for a good long while before the orcs ever came to Azeroth. The newest information creates a situation where Quel'thalas burned during the Second War when its defenses were being led by a green Ranger-General who was forced into the job unexpectedly by the sudden death of her mother and predecessor.

Green ranger general

But not necessarily untrained

It would be silly to think that her responsibilities were 100% new to her.

I have nothing to add to this thread but am pleased it exists. You losers need to post here instead of the Discord. Alleria sinks Juggernaughts and thrashes Guard Towers, but the BtDP official strategy guide didn't even know you could do that. Disney ruined Star Wars, but everything else they touch is golden. The alcohol I drank tonight was in celebration of finding my household's Lazo and Arras, which my distressed wife had been looking for all day. It is good times, but 5his front page has hardly any lore on it.

I feel it was a mistake to have the Windrunner's mother survive so long, for the reasons mentioned above. Nowadays I feel it's easy to fanon a Lesser Troll War vs. the ancient Troll War, to account for the retrolore's understanding of the "Troll War".

You can just destroy that ballista in the first mission; you won't need it because Alleria can do everything herself. She's ugly as a mule's smile, but man can she shoot. That was before she was a ghost demon mage, or whatever she is now.

I'm goin' home.

EDIT: I'm leaving that "5" instead of "t" typo exactly where it is. For atmosphere. Your Discord is lame!

EDIT EDIT: But seriously, I don't think Alleria was ever meant to be that old. The Troll War is a different thing than it once was. A shame. She could've sunken so many Destroyers...
