Mana Fan-Fiction Campfire Thread

The old thread seems to have gone missing, so we'll have to use this thread in the meantime for all of you fan-fiction socializing and general discussion needs.

I'm thinking of writing the rest of that Omnicon I mentioned in the Project 3 thread. Anyone have any particular ideas for races they'd like our intrepid castaway to run into in his adventures through the Nether?

I think I will write one about a Worgen and an Orc who's the prisoner-of-war of the Worgen. Some cool conversations and dialogues and stuff.

Grackle still has to write that choose-your-own-adventure about the sultry Alterac peasant with dreams of Presidency.

At last something will rise that will shake the nepotistic Alliance monarchies to their core! And give them lots of loving, in so doing.

I'm not actively working on the travelogue at the moment (trying to finish an original short story and hopefully publish it), but I have enough backlogged material to last at least until August.

Thinking of writing something about a group of horde adventurers, and their adventures across Azeroth, in something similar to an old 1920's serial.

Crossed Axes (War2)

I have a couple of questions, unrelated to anything.

1) Was Andorhal and/or Durnholde Keep a part of Alterac, before the Second War? Or is that all just Lordaeron, always and forever?

2) What's a good name for a merchant's hot daughter?

Omnicon's got its first plot hook! Hurrah!

Mark Nelson, incidentally, is a human of moderate height, standing at just under six feet, with dark brown hair that extends past his face in a pair of mutton chops. He has a thick mustache but no beard to speak of. He continues to wear his standard issue Kul Tiras Hydromancer robes, which are fashioned from a stiff fabric of navy blue. They are fastened down the chest by a double row of gold buttons. A brass buckle in the shape of an anchor holds the robe together at the waist, below which the hem hangs down to his ankles. Beneath the robes he wears a pair of standard issue Kul Tiras Navy trousers, made of the same material as the above. He also still has his beautiful tricorn hat. He wears a pair of makeshift sandals, having lost his standard issue Kul Tiras Navy boots on the first planet he arrived on. He keeps his uniform in pristine condition, being desperately proud of his service in the Admiralty Navy and still hoping deep down that one day he'll find his way home.

There are two different Lordaeron war RPGs going on in these forums, and nobody wants to play a game of Diplomacy?

I might be interested if it doesn't take much time to play/complete.

Fellow writters I come seeking advice of sorts

I am working on a tale for my own amusement that I plan to post here and in other communities once it has archieved an structure that satisfies me.

In this story I have two starting points as of now, one showcases loads of action and character development for what will be the core of the main cast and the other is mostly about the protagonist being introduced to the story and giving me a chance to explore and present most of the backstory and the setting.

Now this is sort of a mess because on one hand you got this newcomer and on the other you got this squad waging a war in a way that might as well be two separate stories for a period of considerable lenght, now should I do the P.O.V. thing and have one chapter focus on one side and then switch to the other on and on or just go full on one side and then the other?

Really grinding my gears on this

Skids taps Megatron's Autobot badge.

Skids: Right. There. What does that badge even mean to you? How has wearing it forced you to modify your behaviour? I'm serious! How has being an Autobot in any way prevented you from doing exactly what you want? Because if the answer is "it hasn't"—then nothing you've said or done in the last six months counts for anything.
