Nah Gul'dan is his Brian Moser. Tyrande would possibly be his Harry actually. Tempering his impulses.

The Darkness jokes return in HotS, be sure to check them and the other funny quotes out.

One I remember, Zeratul:" Darkness is my ally, but we keep it casual, the Void is a jealous mistress."

And I think there is one where the Demon Hunter's phone rings, and apparently it's Darkness on the line asking for Illidan, and then the typical wrong call chatter goes on.

My point being that nobles and royalty did intermarry, and you would mostly have to if you are the only human empire/kingdom around. So there are plenty of nobles who, hypothetically, should be able to claim descent from Thoradin's dynasty.

Perhaps the claim was to dynasty, as in, anyone actually belonging to the House of Arathi by surname (and not just by "My Great-Grandafather Married House Arathi's Princess Long Ago!")

Actually, this is one of those times where wording is pretty clear.

Quote:
The heirs of King Thoradin, the last descendants of the Arathi bloodline
Only the heirs of Thoradin were considered members of the Arathi bloodline. Now, that does not have to mean that there was no one else with his blood, but only those who were his heirs (ie, if going by the laws of primogeniture, of his prime line) were considered true Arathi.

Which is a stupid asspull for Lothar's character no matter how you slice it.

That useless troll druid character in the Western Plaguelands quests.

That useless troll priest character hiding out in the Scarlet Monastary in the Ashbringer comic.

That useless undead character accompanying you questing through Deathknell.

That useless blood elven character leading the blood elves.

The Centaur Pariah.

That night elf commander in Cenarion Hold in Silithus whose wife turned into a crazy C'thun priestess.

The Entire Town of Sun Rock Retreat in Cataclysm.

Namely:
Maggran Earthbinder
Braelyn Firehand
Mor'rogal
Tammra Windfield
Tsunaman

Griswold Hanniston

Captured since the Northwatch expedition, he's still a slave in the gladiatorial pits, even after the Siege of Orgrimmar.

Yeah, they treated Zul'jin rather poorly for instance.

Tolliver Houndstooth

-Survived a brutal ship attack by the Rageroar clan and was the only one who survived.
-Brother was killed and turned into a hat, most of the other Gilnean refugees were likely going to be turned into trophies to present to the Warchief.
-In Tides of War, I believe, Tolliver was taken away by the Orcs that razed Northwatch and they executed while he was crying and begging for mercy.

It was something I read in the Tides of War spoiler thread on here, though if that didn't happen then my apologies.

I do remember that. Not sure if I read it in the book or just on SoL, though.
