![]() Whoot, I finally got Rend Blackhand! A legendary who is a character who existed in Warcraft II! Time to build a Horde deck around him!! Preferably with Gul'dan or Rexxar, but I guess it could work with Thrall too...
Let me just pull up all of my cards that say the word "dragon" on them... ![]() ![]() ![]() EDIT: The Dragon Egg should COUNT! EDIT EDIT: But seriously, I'll just eventually use Volcanic Drakes and pretend like they're Red Dragons, and maybe one day an Alexstrasza will be in my future. ![]() I actually have a lot of fun with my RTS era decks. Dragons DO work well for the theme, I just... I need to get some.
![]() (And even then, the Rend card sucks even in the best of circumstances. With my paladin deck I'm better off running, for example, a Big Game Hunter and a couple of Blessings of Might. Poor Rend, but ah well.) (And you said "WC1" instead of "WC2", on purpose!) Last edited by BaronGrackle; 04-20-2015 at 03:05 PM.. |

![]() Welp, this happened:
He got a good board presence and I just had no way to deal with his stuff, especially with two high damage Holy Novas wiping my attempts to return into the game. And then despite having dmg to lethal he drops Velen+Mind Blast, at least it was a fun BM. |

![]() So I get a crappy hand, toss it all, and I draw this:
In that deck 4 is the highest mana cost and needless to say I have a shitload of 1-2 drops. The only way it could have been worse was if that Tinketown Tech was another Jeeves. Worse yet, his deck is fairly anti-aggro, not constructed terribly well but against what I was running it was great. So despite the shit start and fairly bad match-up I end up grinding out a win after drawing almost my entire deck (he prioritized my dmg minions in trades and let my Jeeveses draw). I can't say that match was fun, but it was interesting. A rush deck throwing everything it has against a brick wall to see if it will break. |

![]() I have done it! The stars have aligned, and my Rend Blackhand has claimed his first victim: Baine Bloodhoof, executed immediately after his father fell to my Death Knight.
![]() Let me tell you, I made some poor decisions in order for this to happen. But I ended up winning anyway, since my opponent made some rather poor decisions himself (his Harpy killed Rend the next turn before hitting my face first), had some bad luck (played Counterspell soon after, when I had my Kezan Mystic ready to steal it), and then possibly panicked with a memory lapse (played Flamestrike after I threw more minions on the board, even though I had his Counterspell active to nullify it). Jaina and the Bloodhoofs must have tried to intervene somewhere in eastern Arathi, before the invasion of Quel'thalas. We have a character moment between the Black Tooth Grin and Stormreaver chieftains, just prior to the events that will lead to the former killing the latter. FOR DA LORE! ![]() Whoot!
My second Legendary is actually one of the few I would actually use. In my mind, that makes up for the months upon months of Rare drops from the beginning. Time to ramp up my Hero of Darrowmere deck. ![]() ![]() |

![]() EDITBUMP: Had the most insane RNG as Rag, got 2 Yseras in a row from High Justice Grimstone. That's like what, (1/65)^2 ![]() Not that it mattered, he lost as soon as he failed to remove Golemag and High Justrice I played on a turn following a Living Bomb clear. He then cast Open the Gates which I happily Flamestuck and after that he just gave up his next turn as you can see. |

![]() I pulled off the priest OTK in this double Deathrattle brawl. Sadly I forgot to screenshot it before I did it so all that was left to see was a 3/1 Auchenai Soulpriest. Still I wanted more so I pulled it off today again, though it was a partial OTK (25dmg) unlike yesterday's 30.
![]() The deck is okay, I've had a 50% win rate but I've only played like 4 games, I am thinking the actual winrate is around 30% so it's a deck for fun primarily. But it is super fun when you say "Well Played" to a guy at 30hp who has been leading the whole game and then burn him down ![]() |

![]() Epic finish vs a Control Warrior as Freeze Mage, as you probably know it's an almost impossible match-up. They just keep gaining armor and armor (and they will max armor if they know their business, he did) and you have limited burn. I had to maximize every ounce I had, with bonus spell damage and 4 Fireballs from Anto. I must have done something like 64 dmg, not counting Alexstrasza's part. ![]() I wish I could screenshot from my iPhone because this Druid lost because he played Yogg and got Pyroblast in his face.

![]() Tried out the new Halloween Arena and got this:
![]() Could've gotten more flavour points had it been DOOM!, but I found it amusing nonetheless. |
