![]() the snow queen in frozen (elsa) has powers over ice, and runs away to a frozen mountain to make an ice fortress, so people drew parrerals between her and arthas.

![]() I'm pretty sure that his relentless army of rotting horrors was more defining for the Lich King than just icy motifs. Does the Snow Queen have that too?

![]() Yeah. I decided to compare Azeroth to Earth. Azeroth as we know it could work if it's on the northern hemisphere.

![]() Last panel, problems with Azerothian geography nicely illustrated.

![]() Imagine Krasarang as Bangladesh. The equator would then be further south. From there the only zone that makes no sense is the "azeroth subcontinent". It should be desert-like. Durotar then too is strange with it's desert conditions at a position that would be equal to central europe.

![]() There could be an effect similar to the Gulf Stream that keeps the temperature of sub-continental Azeroth moderate despite its geographical position.

![]() Honestly, I think you're all thinking too mundanely. The surface of azeroth has very much been shaped by the effects of magic, and it clearly affects temperature. You've got the sunwell, well of eternity, and wells of eternal blossoms all creating nice temperate forests. You've got the burning steppes and searing gorge as permanent lava-scapes. You've got whatever magic dried up the barrens (and possibly durotar and desolace). You've got Scholazar and crystalsong being magically warmed. And that's ignoring the giant magical whirlpool/original well of eternity situated at the heart of azeroth, of which the magic was specifically used to promote the growth of life.
It makes a lot more sense for Azeroth to not fit real life planetary temperature distributions than it does for it to fit. edit: the hell is with that picture, yaska-man?

![]() Random image on deviantart that poped up. It supposed to be some kind of tickle challenge. They're supposed to endure 10 minutes of that without giving up. The image is after 1 min.

![]() I actually think it's more innocent than that. Atleast that's the vibe I got on deviantart.
Edit: Seems the artist got some kind of foot tickling fetish.

![]() I'd put the equator where you have 30 North and scale the other latitudes up appropriately. Otherwise that looks pretty feasible.

![]() Not being active for a month really diminishes ones memory no? Take a quick break and they will forget you and we can be under the radar.

![]() Azeroth the subcontinent doesn't need to have a desert climate. If it existed in a rain shadow, then sure. But if we pull something out of our ass and say the winds in Azeroth go west to east, then we can explain Durotar and the Barrens (rain shadow from the mountains in central Kalimdor), and the Badlands for instance.
Actually fuck it, I'm pretty sure I just butchered climate.
