Blue Tome Order Hall - Troop Lore

Heya, I was hoping if anyone will share the Order hall troop info. Like the upgraded ones, like Swarm of imps.

Well they can't spend ALL their time in Gadgetzan making potions for Kazakus.

No one is more oppressed by Stormwind than the Night Elves.

Those are just vanilla rogues who managed to complete the Defias set before it got Cataclysm'd. They ain't real Stonemasons.

Based on the description, and the fact that I've seen pretty much every race except tauren, draenei, and pandaren in Defias troop images, makes me think they've gone neutral and are just fighting corrupt nobility wherever they see it.

Their blood is shed by the Horde in Ashenvale while their leader couldn't give less of a fuck about it.

So even the defias are homogenizing and neutral now...

My headcanon is that since Vanessa joined the Uncrowned, and they are directly loyal to her, that she has expanded her personal 'army' with other races.

The Defias have technically recruited other races (Mr Smite was back in vanilla). It could be that since the Legion is here their conflicts seem petty. It's like when in warlords the two akkroa joined together; with gul'dan and a demon army threatening them along with brainwashed orcs their conflict seemed petty and small even to the most zealous

Eh, it's always had the feel of hired mercs with him and those goblins.

Smite and the goblins were recruited from the Blackwater Raiders, IIRC. (The new goblins are actually Bilgewater instead of Steamwheedle ones, though.)

Anyway, those are just cosplayers. You know it, I know it, we all know it.

Really? I never thought they specified the new goblins, that's a shame.

Continues tradition of Horde's cool stuff going third party villain though

One of the Horde quest givers calls the goblin boss a traitor to the Bilgewater Cartel and/or the Horde, iirc.

Yes Blizzard, every rogue wants to be an outlaw, even after they were a top faction commander. Sure.

SI:7 and the Shattered Hand might work with the Unbroken, but do you really expect their leaders to cede their position to the player?

Fuck me.

What absolutely cancerous garbage.

I didn't think the Rogue Order Hall could get worse, but there we go.

The original Defias are dead, Vanessa being the only one. Varian is dead, her operation in Stormwind foiled so might as well survive and profit from her skills and knowledge. Thieve's guilds and assassin groups in fantasy work for the best with a muti-racial roster as scum of the street can come from any background, and different races can offer advantages others don't, either in skill or even prejudice or lack of it for infiltration and spying purposes. It also makes it easier to introduce new members for the guild to expand it's influence across the land.

It also feels refreshing to have a group of scumbags that aren't hit with the villain or redemption bats.

It's also perhaps worth remembering that while Edwin and his fellow stonemasons may have considered the Defias a revolutionary movement with benign goals, it was already staffed with tons of professional criminals and mercenaries through his underground contacts, and that carried over into its current incarnation.

And when Vanessa revived it, she did so as a tool for personal power and vengeance rather than any idealistic desire to "fix things." She works up the crowd of impoverished citizens with reminders of their plight, but nothing she's done particularly suggests she harbors her father's aspirations of making Stormwind itself better by overthrowing the corrupt monarchy. It's all about the vendetta for her; reforging the the Defias cause is just a useful means toward that end.

Wasn't she also partially responsible for their impoverishment?
