It is expected to be that one sided really.. There is no chance any of those two had seen anything fight like that.

And Chen at least had experience with both races.

He is a Pandaren.. So they have been around that long and it has always been a huge subject of when would we ever (if ever) see Pandaria.

What Mists of Pandaria has done to me in the end has made me hate Kung Fu Panda because if that stupid film and its sequel never excised people would not be saying stupid shit..

Kung-Fu Panda is awesome. Shut up.

Oh, the trailer did reference Kung-Fu Panda 2 ending in the "Jade Forest + Vale of the Four Winds" shot.

Plus, the orc and human just got to Pandaria. They're still only level 85.

I don't mind the comparison since I liked the movies as well. But the complaint around the movies and Pandaren is stupid.

TBH for me it all comes back to Blizzcon. The MoP announcement trailer was BAAAAD, really bad. It made the Pandaren look like a ''cutesy, all happy, smiling, very happy'' race. Watching beta vids made me like the Pandaren, especially Taran Zhu. While I like MoP so far, I still prefer dark storylines like WC3, and Wotlk.

This is also untrue. Chen wasn't in Outland helping Kael and Vash'j rescue Illidan! While there were very few Pandaren in the lore as of Warcraft III, it was Blizzard who began to popularize the idea first... not Kung Fu Panda. I'm with Quirn here.

Compare the mood and theme with this trailer, and the intro for Reign of Chaos. Refresher: Warcraft III intro

EDIT: Of course, that picture of "Oh crap we better cooperate" could be used for a number of storylines in the Warcraft universe; anytime the Alliance and Horde are forced to work together to defeat a greater threat. Ironically, that will supposedly not be the theme of this expansion!

I know it was awesome but the way people who left WoW previously or think they are to old to play something that involes Panda's piss me off when they reference back to Kung Fu Panda... So many quotes of zomg i am so happy i left in Wrath/Cata because its all about Panda's.

Also keep in mind that this was one of the top fighters in Pandaria versus an Orc and a Human who were probably only at the level of Grunt/Footman. If it had been Chen versus Varian it probably wouldn't have been very one sided in either direction.

Just realized Chen being the one who introduces the Alliance and Horde in Pandaria is kind of stupid, since he's sort of a newcomer there too.

I can't identify specific Pandaren, but if you guys say it's Chen I'll take your word for it.

Its more because he is widely known and is a Pandaren . Not to mention i think he has story relevance in that area considering the Achievement in game.

Overall, I liked it better than the Cataclysm one as it had a more coherent story and an awesome fighting scene with a little touch of Blizzard humor thrown in just for taste.
Thank you, I'm glad someone else saw it too. I sincerely hate to be this guy because I've defended the art style of Mists since day dot but it looked a bit more...cartoony? For example compare the build of Nazgrim/The orc to that of the Orc in the Vanilla/Burning Crusade cinematics. Or even Grom and Thrall in Warcraft.

That and it seemed to be alot more vibrant, the cinematics have always been colourful but to me have always seemed to have a smokey look, this a lot more clear and crisp looking.

I liked it, and I like that the cinematics team is experimenting but my favourite WoW opener is still Wrath of the Lich King.

I think Taylor's mustache might actually rival the greatness of Garithos'.

Fojar look at the human's damn coat dude. There's no footman with that kind of coat. It's a high level officer.

A) You don't need to be martially skilled to be an officer.

B) I was using RTS terms. These guys were small fry.

Personally I detest versus arguments when there is zero to no evidence of the difference in skill between two fictional characters.

We've seen Pandaren grunts taking on Varian. They knocked him on his ass and he laughed. Are you less easily impressed that him?

I like the touch they made on the Orc. How he pounds the air with his hammer to the side before he attacks Chen. An Orc did the same thing in the original WoW cinematic.
